After playing this game for over 3 years, after running 4 accounts and 12 active characters, after having collected over 40 capital component BPOs, 14 capital ship BPOs (including a Nyx BPO) and couple of T2 BPOs, after running probably one of the biggest capital BPC making corporations (starting as a humble miner and mission runner in Brootherhood Of Steel corporation, which of only a few great players Ive had a chance to play with are still active) it is time to leave this game.
I wish to thank GMs for pointing it out to me how fascistic CCP always was and always will be, with total disregard of the pleads from player community regarding many questionable issues and changes made in game or how they have blatantly ridiculed all the EVE subscribers by influencing gameplay by joining ingame corporations and assisting them with their knowledge and their GM/Dev privileges. Not to mention some of the service they provide, such as character transfer fee of 20$, how they made GTC sales legal, not because they were thinking about players but because they saw a new way of income by redirecting some of the ISK traffic from ebay in their own pocket and many other issues which we could all write a load of text about.
Goodbye.

Yes, GTCs were a plot to enrich CCP's pocket. Totally. With getting players to pay for their accounts? They actually don't gain any more money than normal with GTCs, since each card is still 15$ for a 1 month subscription for 1 account.
All it does is reduce the profitabiltiy of macro-miners, and keep them from inflating isk. Oh dear, it was a change.. TO HELP PLAYERS!
A Transfer Fee prevents characters from being shuffled all over, and more than compensates for having a guy to do the work of transferring stuff around. Remember, some games don't even allow character transfers, or have introduced them recently, or charge MORE (I'm looking at you, WoW!)
Thank you CCP for the fine service!
BTW, Verediam, now that you've been pwned, can I have your stuff? ~~~

Why are you quitting exactly? What was the catalyst? I mean you don't give up a position where you have: collected over 40 capital component BPOs, 14 capital ship BPOs (including a Nyx BPO) and couple of T2 BPOs, after running probably one of the biggest capital BPC making corporations. |

A rabbi, a priest and a shaman walk into a bar. Except there wasnt a rabbi, or a shaman. And it was my eighth grade birthday party. And the priest was my dad.... and he molested me.

Although I'm not the op, you certainly give up all that when you're not having fun anymore. This is a game, doesn't matter how many bpo's you've got sitting in your hangar- Eve is, at the end of the day, completely meaningless.

So now that we are the majority, does that make the minority dysfunctional because we are now the norm?

Well - now all the flippant responses are out of the way - I would like to congratulate the OP on putting his money where his mouth is and leaving the game on principal.
I would suggest he/she thinks again and gives the much vaunted CCP Internal Branch a few weeks to try to get to the bottom of the last alleged debacle though.
Or even take a break and maybe come back at a later date

Goodluck mate. After playing at such a level for so long it will take a while for you to adjust to having a life again. I took a short break and found myself compusivley sitting at my machine at a loss for what to do. I ended up playing Flyff I was so disconcerted.
After a couple of days, I still could not shake that nagging feeling that I had not changed my skill or that a BPO was coming off the cooker or some other thing needed my attention.
After that the Eve dreams subsided and the anxiety decreased but still there was a big hole. I found myself finding forums to talk on and bringing the subject back to Eve and even trying out ship fittings in Quickfit to massage the loss. LOL
My advice to you is not to give away your stuff and to just let your accounts lapse. You never know, anything can happen in a few months or a year. While you might think that coming back and starting a new account is what you would do if you ever return, it is not the same. It is terribly frustrating at having a severely gimped nub character when you are used to being free to achieve things in more advanced characters.
Anyway, best of luck ex Eve!

Actually they do gain more money because there is a large amount of older players that would've quit but have instead gone inactive and paying 1.5 bil per year per account to keep on skill training rather than just actually quitting seemed like a good idea at the time.
To the OP, with t2 prod you should be able to pay for accounts via gtc's and not even play outside of manufacturing and selling on the market. There is plenty of other older players that have all but quit and continue to pay for game time via t2 bpo isk which takes a minimal amount of time.

I completely agree with you and after almost four years now of playing I am still seriously contemplating my future of staying or going. I will not reiterate any of the recent matters and only say that I am deeply disappointed if these allegations are true in any way shape or form. Unfortunately (but in a good way), there is no reset button to undo disasters. We can only hope that punishment will be dealt with to those found guilty, wether it be their jobs, or the removal of in game property and gain made through that illegal property. I am for harsh penalties for those who violate rules in both the real and virtual world. I speed, guess what, I get my ass knocked down by the state patrol, I know, it happens....repeatedly.
These removals would be drastic, yes. People will be unhappy, Yes. People will whine and complain,,, Can I get a HELL YEAH?
BUT, in the end, it was wrong to benefit through actions taken by abusing power (IF wrong doing is found). Will alliances crumble? Who knows, If they are as great as they say(ok, not sure if they said they were) they are, then NO. If they are as powerful as they say they are, then NO. If they have the leadership of a true leader, then hell NO, they will continue.
Do I have the real answers, sadly, NO. Sorry. I rarely post, but this is one matter thats been bugging me. And now that I'm all fired up and p issed, I am going to get back to grading final exams from my students.
And may the Servers have mercy on your Eve Soul.
Mamer,
