**static appears on the screen followed by a snowy image of an exhausted looking Minmatar on the bridge of a ship. Several children are visible around him looking equally exhausted.**
"Can an..ne h.ar me?" the slave says twisting the knobs on the communcations panel. The headache he suffered was increasing and his breathing was becoming labored as he looked near collapse.
"At.emp..ng to ...d Uni.y S...ion b.. am b.ing cha..d ...d h..p" he said frantically as the image faded in and out. In the background several children cried quietly as the ship moved erratically through space.
"We a.. l.st pl...e hel. us" he said as the signal became weaker.
".. ..e in Ma....e h.lp us pl........" the signal faded and went blank.
On board the ship Tavok handed out the last of the foodstuffs to the children. His headache was getting worse and he couldn't help but feel the Amarrians were around every corner. Several times he turned and thought he'd caught a glimpse of them behind him in the control room. He had to find help fast but he was becoming more and more fatigued. Several days without sleep were taking his toll. Several times he'd been messaged by other ships but he was sure they were all Amarr spies. He had to find help.

Edited by: Mori Felding on 02/06/2007 13:29:43 As Mori finished off some Angel Cartel spies, the soothing voice of Aura goes through the comm system: "Mori, long distance distress signal acquired. Shall I relay it to your system?"
*Sigh*, she confirms tired: "Yes Aura, play it"
**transmissions plays**
"Aura, enhance the signal, send it through the new decoding tool and give an assumption on missing fields." She had only heard of this escaped prisoner, Evanda had mentioned a hunt and the news about frail cease fire between EM and Deledictum. After awhile, Aura's voice appears once more: "Inconclusive system origin detected. Multiple systems most probable."
"Nothing comes easy, cross reference with systems near Amarr space and possible route to Providence, see whatever lies inbetween matches possibilities." Mori docks at the nearest station, to allow Aura full control of all systems.
Moments after, Aura speaks again: "Final message computed, origin filtered." Mori nods and checks the map, investigating the systems. Makes sense: "Aura, relay to the alliance, good work. And send a message to my hound, tell him to head there for starters, we're gonna need all the eyes and ears in case we're not right."
In a silent prayer to the ancien spirits, Mori feels the phantom shackle of slavery tighten. Hang in there Tavok, you'll be free, we're coming.. ___

Vessel Identification : Crane Class - Callsign : "✖ JJ-74 Salvage & Rescue"
Avena inhaled slowly, her lungs filling with oxygen from the capsule's life support system as the battered Crane class blockade runner lurched forward into warp.
Space itself seemed to distort with the sheer acelleration, the ship's hull releasing a deep metallic groan as it reached peak velocity, tearing across the black void toward the system's core.
"This is the Veto Corp Salvage and Rescue Vessel JJ-74, broadcasting on open comms and hailing TES Slaver XIV, please respond..."
Silence... save for light static relayed directly to her brain from the capsule's hardwired neural connections to ship systems.
"Repeat, this is the Veto Corp Salvage and Rescue Vessel JJ-74 hailing TES Slaver XIV, do you read?"
She let out a muffled sigh, switching instantly through thought to the internal ship comms system.
"Load a 20au Spook... it looks like we're doing this the hard way..."
Avena smiled slightly, the Interface displaying weapon systems status flashing with a loading in progress indicator.
"God damn it Ethan... needle in a haystack..."

The last of the pre-flight checks were underway, engineers still working frantically to secure a loose sheet of hull plating found earlier in the day. Evanda stands on the maintenance walkway, running a gentle hand down the sleek flank of the Men Should Weep, a secretive little smile dancing on her lips.
A moment of outward calm, an instant of serenity, while the hunger for action builds inside her, the need to be in that ship, to move as it does, to feel with every fibre of a million hardwired nerves.
The last thump of a rivet gun, then a moment of silence before the crew, certain that their work is done, fall back from the vessel. The moment of insertion, the first electric thrill as the interface springs to life, was always hers and hers alone.
For a moment, she basks in the darkness of the pod, then the feral grins breaks across her face as the systems spring to life, calling the crew to battlestations.
"Hang on, Tavok... we're coming."
And something between a predator and an angel slips out into the freedom of the sky.

So you an Amarrian that relies on his slaves to do all of your jobs, must do what?
Right.....
As for Tavok 5671353 and the fugitive people he has with him, please try to get out of Amarr. Try and contact U'K, EM, us or whichever corporation/alliance of pod pilots look trusty to you. Even Veto people, despite being pirates have more dignity than many Amarrians and don't enslave people.
We can and will help you to reach you goal.

I have spoken with Tavok today, his location is still vague, and has changed due to an attempted attack by the SPCS, however himself and those he has liberated are still alive and appear to be staying that way, albeit in hiding.
At present, we are working with several other organisations to help bring him to his much deserved freedom, however due to the situation this might take some time.

Tavok,
As you can see by checking my profile, I am a member of the Republic University. Proof I'm Minmitar, if nothing else.
If you're worried about all the other people whose intentions you cannot see, because you don't know them, you don't know their corporations and alliances, then let me help you. My corporation is simple: we're just allumni of the university of the Republic. If you want to contact me privately, send me the name of a station where I can leave you food supplies, or a place to meet you and escort you to friends who will help, then contact me. You'll probably be feeling terrible by now. That's the vitoc withdrawal. The Amarr poisoned you, like all slaves. Then they gave you vitoc to keep the poison's effects away. You can't have much time left before that poison gets too hard for you to fight. To save you, and the children with you, you're going to have to put your trust in someone.
If it can be me, I'll do everything I can to save you and those children.

I suggest before you open your mouth you do a little more research. It just so happens that recently Mr. Maleficus fell ill after a recent clone activation and is no longer shall we say...himself. This accident happened after his offer of assistance, and now it is too late for him to help, his mind is irrevocably altered. It was Maleficus who offered his services. While I only sought revenge on those dishonest and dishonourable amarr, I knew in recruiting my good friend that if anything could be done he would do it unquestioningly. Unfortunately Tavok could not see beyond the Caldari face of Mr.Maleficus, proving there are bigots even among the persecuted. Now I suggest you get back to fighting your real enemies rather that bringing to bear a verbal assault on those you know little about.

Verbal assault? Hell I was just pointing out you tried to sell his location to the Amarrians before offering your help. Fact of the matter is your first action in this affair was trying to sell him out. Given the option to seek help from know freedom fighters or a guy who seems only concerned in a pay day all I'm saying is you shouldn't be shocked he didn't run to you for help. Hell the only reason you even offered help is that the Amarrians ignored your offer, don't try to paint yourself as the misunderstood good guy. I still don't understand why you're suprised he didn't seek you out when there's two alliances who didn't try to sell him out eager to help. ----------------------------- Naturally my views are my own as I'm not my alliance's spokesman, ect.

Perhaps you are a little dense. My only point is not that I cannot be trusted. we know that already. My point is he spurned the help of someone who could be trusted. You can't judge a person by the friends they keep. Thomas was a likeable guy who liked everyone. He could be trusted and had the references. I pointed out that Tavok ignored his offers at his own...eh heh heh heh Folly. *mumbles to self about folly....heh heh heh Karishals Folly I ***** myself up. I am an opportunist, simple as that, you can criticise me, but you insult the efforts of someone who fought along side people he thought were great warriors who he would die to help. Insult me if you must but you really should apologise to Thomas, he did try after all and at great risk to his own well being, you know how those amarr can be when you cross them. The fact remains, help was there, Mr Maleficus already chastised me for my attempts to profit from the misery of mr tavok, I really dont know why he hopes so much for me to reform yet he does or at least did until the accident. He was an idealist you see. I on the other hand would sell his location so he can be eh heh heh heh...reclaimed...*mubles...heh heh heh reclaimation...I really do slay myself...if those nasty little amarr would actually pay the reward they promised.

I think the reason people may be viewing him as a hero is circumstantial, no matter how many times Amarrians suggest that the reason they are held is for there own good (because of your belief, which to you may seem good intention). Others hold the view that they are being held against their will (Which most view as criminal).
That he killed two of his guards and a Slaver Hound is seen by most as a form of escape from forced incarceration (whatever the intention). Let me ask you one question.
If you were abducted by say a Gallente capture squad (just an example)and they tried to forcefully change your beliefs wouldn't you fight to the death rather than capitulate.
Here's an idea, if you care about those children at all then let them go! Let Tavok drop them off at a safe location and then you can proceed with your dispute with him. The longer this goes on the more chance of those children dying.
You may counter this argument with, "We'll if he truly cared about those children he would return them."
But you have to remember "He is scared, alone and paranoid (Vitoc withdrawl having an effect as well)". He is not thinking straight, therefore he is reacting on animal instinct, and that instinct is if your chased....Run.
So I implore you, let him release the kids and then you can attempt to get your "Pound of Flesh".
Its the only true compasionate thing to do and I know the Amarr are capable of humility, even when it is partly at your own expense in the name of good.

Just to add, if it helps, I am willing to purchase the children for the price of adults. That should help with financial renumeration (Or whatever price within reason) that you attribute to the children.
To the people of the Ushra'Khan, Electus Matari, and Minmitar Republic who are no stranger to sacrifice, I say: The Children can be saved, but if you hold out your hopes for Tavok, you may loose both him and the children. In realistic terms he sacrificed himself the moment he killed those guards and Slave Hound. Help me to get the kids out. Its the only logical option. Tavok may have to be martyred to save them.
Lord Murkon, please consider my offer. Its the best way to end this affair and i'm sure you would like to see the children taken out of the equation (Nobody likes dead kids on their hands except psycho's).

You and your guards put a lethal poison in the man's veins. Just because you periodically gave him an antidote to postpone the inevitable, doesn't change the fact you killed him first.
