I was wondering if anyone else has been reimbursed in the past for a ship or pod that was lost due to getting this message while trying to dock "(notify) Docking operation already in progress.<br>Estimated time left: 25 seconds" 3 seconds later I was podded.
I talked to one player who said that he was not allowed reimbursement for this and then another player said that he was (I'm not going to mention what alliance he was part of).
Anyway, there seems to be some inconsistency. Please post if you have or haven't been given reimbursement for such issues. I would like to determine if I should bother with the lengthy petition process.
Thanks

You being forcibly vacated from your ship is a session change. The game needs 30 seconds before another session change can take effect, e.g: docking. What you should have done was warped out. But you didn't, and you died.
There is no way you should be reimbursed for this, it is completely within the mechanics.

Dean, you're assuming stuff not shown. So, I don't know why you're claiming what 'happened'.
I have been 'accepted' into dock MANY time, yet had to click dock AGAIN to actually get anything to happen. I've seen that message an unfortunate number of times, though in more peaceful times than you.
Anyhoo, if you tried to dock, it started to dock, then you get blown up, try petitioning it. Lag often rears it's head, and I've been at it's mercy many times. I hope you have a copy of your log.

Correct, you will be reimbursed.
I know a carrier pilot who has been reimbursed at least 2 or 3 times for right clicking on station, getting "docking accepted", and still dying. Its a bug.

You actually have to get eh "docking request accepted" message. Before you get that there is nothing....
the session change thing is part of the game.

I was in a Tanked to hell Typhoon in 0.0 bout 1 month ago.
Hostiles came in and I was at 0 km from station, I pressed dock, DOCKING REQUEST ACCEPTED.
I sat in space for 2 minutes spamming the dock button, the whole time humping the station while its telling me its accepted. I finally got popped.
I got reimbursed though.
