BRUCE alliance is looking for a few good corps
- Is your corporation looking to change to a new alliance that has great leadership and focused goals? - Or, Is your corporation making itÆs first jump into a 0.0 alliance?
Learn more about us.
Location: BRUCE has been living in Syndicate since January 2007. We have been slowly growing to an organization of 1000+ members, with US and Euro time zone coverage.
Leadership: - BRUCE is lead by an Executor and advised by the member CEOs. * Guided by our benevolent leader ôFriedrich Psitalonö since inception.
Rules of Engagement: - Not Blue Shoot It (NBSI) in our home cluster, Not Red DonÆt Shoot (NRDS) outside. - Anti- pirate - Mature PvP play, we discourage smack.
What do we offer: - We live in the Syndicate region * Access to ratting, 0.0 missions, mining, NPC stations, etc..
- Exciting PvP opportunities * We live in Syndicate => So much evil, so little time. :) * A variety of large fleet battles, and small gang actions * Unaligned in the ôGreat warö thus no Titan-foo.
- Strong industrial backbone * Advances ship replacement system * Organized empire runs * Internal markets * More..
What can makes a good BRUCE corporation candidate: - White-hat focus (we like kittens and kill bad guys). - Mature play, and teamwork - Desire to join the adventure of an up-and-coming alliance - Ideally 25+ members (we make exceptions).
We also have a number of large (100+ member corporations) who would consider mergers/absorption of your corporation if you looking to wind your corporation down.
Interested in joining BRUCE? Contact or Convo ôManasö for any question you might have.

We were one of the founding corporations in BRUCE and are no longer a member (kicked us out before we got around to leaving on our own). We found them to be very medlesome in regards to how we ran our corp. We also found them to be far more combat focused than suited us. They also seem to favor agression over diplomacy. It often seemed they went out of their way to stir things up.
Some of the folks are great but mostly you'll be joining 1000 people sitting in 7 systems locked behind a single gate. It was getting pretty crowded when we were there. Can't imagine how it is now.
So you'll pay 1 million a month per member, often trapped like rats behind gate camps or in stations while hostiles hunted BRUCE in the cluster. All in all it wasn't at all what we needed to prosper as a corporation.
If you are a small corp expect to have no say in how the alliance is run.
Are they a terrible alliance? Not at all. Are they the best alliance there is? Far from it. I do wonder as fast as they are growing when are some of the big alliances going to realize that BRUCE doesn't have a capital fleet and if left alone will eventually have one. Someone is sure to think taking them on now before they get bigger and stronger makes sense.
To end on a good note, they have some great PvPers, some super fleet commanders and have super PvP classes. (all the more reason the bigger alliances should be keeping an eye on these guys! :-) )

Gadgette,
Thanks for your honest perspective of BRUCE. TGRAD joined a couple days after TDAO left, so I didn't have the pleasure. For those uninterested in PvP, you're right to warn those that Syndicate may not be a great option.
However for those who like a little (or a lot) of PvP like my corp, it has been great. Its now been one month since TGRAD joined, and my membership has been thrilled. My corp has grown 40%, and our retention rate is near 100%. Everyone who has made the trip has loved it. Our cluster seems pretty placid to us, but then we had lived in EC-P8R. :)
Good luck in your travels..

Bruce Leadership is weak , they are a bunch of dictators in it for themselves on top of that they are very rude and inconsiderate. I was accused of being a spy a while ago , they removed all my rights so I couldnt defend myself on Vent or even on Bruce forums, when I made alliance mails defending myself I was given the silent treatment . They ordered people not to reply to me. Just think about that how weak emotionally do you have to be not to allow someone talk on Vent ? They live in syndicate thats like the worst place to be, worst rats in 0.0 bad 0.0 mining , cant take sov because there are so many damn npc stations. There are much better alliances out there if your thinking of moving to 0.0

Edited by: Friedrick Psitalon on 02/07/2007 04:17:37 Well, if we didn't have any disgruntled former members, you'd know we didn't stand for much one way or the other, eh? Luckily BRUCE has its principles and morals however... "interestingly" they were represented by some former BRUCEs here.

You pretend that your sentence means you are "Rightiously justified" for some reason. I never received an apology EVER for your mistake. After I left and my former ceo - Gadgette who was still in your alliance at the time tried to clear my name after they found out they were totally wrong and made a post on your forums then later when I was trying to recruit on a recruitment channel people from your alliance called me a thief and a back stabber which makes me realise that you guys ignored the entire thing , even before iwas trying to recruit when your members would see me in local would call me names.
I feel bad for you members though because its not their fault with what happend. The whole issue is with Bruce command you guys dont give a damn about people it seems like. You guys kicked me out then the corp i was in for NO reason. Dont join this alliance its a waste of time.

To be fair, BRUCE has changed alot since it's origins in low-sec 9 months ago. BRUCE has become much larger, much more PvP focused, and much more concerned about internal security and membership minimums. This has brought a number of benefits. For example, right now we have access to much of lower syndicate (and their resources).
We have become very discriminating in whom we choose for new corporations. It is clear that some of the original corporations prefered the BRUCE during it's looser laissez faire origins, didn't like the new directions and higher demands, conflict resulted, etc..
My corp joined a little over 1.5 months ago, and so far, for my kind of corp, the tight, forceful and organized leadership focus fits pretty good.

So it is interesting to note that we have MUCH better 0.0 access (two regions) with a MUCH larger set of blue boxes to us since we left medlesome BRUCE and the sad sad place that is Syndicate. Teebee is pretty much correct in how he was treated. We had several other loyal members or friends treated similarly.
If you want "tight and forceful" (and paranoid) leadership then BRUCE is the place. Take a moment and even consider the name they picked. "Brutally Clever Empire"?? Kind of an in your face, better than everyone else challenge right there. "I'm so smart, I'm so smart! "S" "M" "R" "T". Brutal? Yup. Clever? Well, one word, "Syndicate". Maybe not so much. Empire? Maybe, certainly getting big enough to seem like one.
Personally, I have no interest in being dictated to by alliance leadership. I prefer a more democratic and open relationship with the folk I choose to align with.
Now what I'm waiting for is when the other big alliances figure out that BRUCE is getting big, established, building towards a sizable capital fleet and is most definitely not looking to expand its space by making friends. I'm saving a bowl of popcorn for the wars that are sure to come once people realize BRUCE is the next big bully in the fight for 0.0.
Reading all that it comes across as pretty negative. Again to be fair, if you are looking for a PvP focused Alliance with rigid structure give BRUCE a try. Their "blob" is calling to you!
