Little thing to move EVE window to center of desktop from default center of screen. Also have small advantage. You may add difference (X Y, in pixels) to shift EVE window here or there. Like:
EVEmover.exe 0 10
to move EVE window 10 pixels down from center to keep it out of WinAMP covering range. (Yes, I found that WinAMP song resided on some of my screenshots is a real bad thing) Negative values allowed, so You may enter something like
EVEmover.exe -4 -22
to keep EVE "like fullscreen" in windowed mode.
Why I write this program and not use EVEmon, ShiftWindow or EVE Launcher? Are You sure that I need to see that ugly smooth font after their relocation?? No, I dont. So I wrote this thing.

Could someone tell me what is the use for all those window mover tools? AFAIK the EvE window can be moved around like any other window, so why the hassle?

because afaik, you cant move the window so that it fits 'perfectly' on the screen, like it would be in fullscreen, without a tool. Unless you set an alternate monitor to above the window you have even on.

If you run more than one eve client on a multiple monitor setup, you setup the first client to use the primary display device, and the second to use the secondary device. When you load up the second client, despite the setting in eve it will still boot up on the primary display device and you must drag it across yourself (all the time suffering terrific lag). Tools such as these allow you to automatically reposition the window when you startup the program, and hence avoid all that lag.
There is a darker use, of course: Macro farming. Assuming a prospective macro user doesn't go out to buy "UBER EVE MACRO PROGRAM 1.0" on eBay and uses one of the many macro programs available (both for free and otherwise) to record/script their own, then ensuring the Eve window opens in the same place on the screen each time would seem to be rather important...

Edited by: Awox on 11/06/2007 06:27:32 Edited by: Awox on 11/06/2007 06:25:29 I prefer this. How does it work, well, you can download the known and trustable AutoIt3 program (which is free I might add) and simply adjust the variables.
I have a primary monitor on the left of my displays that runs at 1152x864, so that's what I run my main's EVE window at.
$tweak is the width in pixels of window borders, different windows themes may be different, just play with it.
$xbuffer is 0 because the eve display is on the very left, if my eve display were on the far right I would just add to it the width of every display to the left of display I wanted it on.
Oh yeah, it's only based on window title, so you can add support for other titles easily by modifying the regex and running the script again.
Originally by: FakeFullScreens.au3 $xres =1152;# Width of your displays $yres = 864;# Height of your displays $tweak = 3;# Border width of your windows (2-3 usually works) $xbuffer = 0;# If you want to use a second monitor, put the width of the first here, otherwise use 0.

Say no to random arbitrary executable files.
Oh, one more edit: I petitioned this and a GM confirmed that use of this program was not against the EULA! - BOOST OUTLAWS (-10.0 and proud of it) |

What would be sweet would be if you were able to specify X,Y's in the prefs.ini and the client per auto would move to the position, I hate dragging around the windows all the time.
Help me help you. |

There's so many other tools (many of them often used by webdesigners), like magnifiers, colorpickers an such. Some of them also may give You coords of cursor - relative to screen, window or client area. So no point to exclude it from monitor. -- . |
