Time has come for yet another edition of our Live Dev Blogs, which will be the 4th Live Dev Blog. We will let Xyliana from EVE TV and Zapatero from EON amuse you for an full hour. So why do EVE TV and EON in the same blog? Well, they both work for our business partner MMM Publishing so we thought we'd combine the two topics since they're very close to each other anyway.
As usual we will take about 15 minutes for our hosts to introduce themselves and what it is they do. Then we'll let them answer your questions for about 30 minutes and end with having them answer follow up questions for the last 15 minutes.
To participate you'll need to have EVE Voice active and join the in game channel Live Dev Blog to listen in. You can use this thread to post questions prior to the event. The in game channel will be muted at first but it will be unmuted so you can write your follow up questions while the forum questions get answered.
You are welcome to discuss this event here, but please post your questions in this thread instead.

The original EVE Voice trial was for 30 days, but then we decided to keep it as a free trial until we could get a corporation wide program implemented. And I just checked, your EVE Voice is still active.

These live blogs suck TBH. It would be so much more informative to the players if a comprehensive WRITTEN blog was posted based on all of the posted questions. Spending an hour listening to the DEVs bumble and stumble through answers is a waste of time considering it take 5 min to read the same. The last written blog on system Sov was the best I have seen based on content and detail and is something that should be used by all DEVs as an example of how to write a blog. Then wait for the transcript, it's only a few extra days.

Partially unrelated, but when you are you going to update the DevFinder Thread. Haven't seen anything new added in a month. Would be easier just to have any dev posts automatically documented in a seperate thread? City of Heroes did this a few years back and so do some other online game forums.

Someone else said it best, why would I want to pay to see someone else play Eve?

Maybe I am a bit too cynical.
Main point I am trying to make is that the people who should be most interested in watching Eve-TV are probably the people who also play the game the most. But the problem is that those will also be the people that spend the most time ingame, and you can only do one of them properly at the same time. So my main concern would be that the people you are reaching out to, are too engrossed in the game to bother watching a show while they could be playing instead.

I'm really looking forward to Eve TV. One of the best things about Eve is the incredible diversity of the community, and the evolution of perceptions. I'm just as interested in a day in the life of Chribba, or the new player experiences of FortunaFive. Those things may not be part of "my" Eve, but they are part of Eve. There are lots of playstyles which are different to my day-to-day experience of Eve, and may be just as valid and enjoyable. Eve TV can bring them to me, and I welcome that.
Besides .. the shows are, IIRC, on demand .. so I'll just stream mine during downtime :P

don't worry wangler! we'll try to pick up the strange questions for you :) I for say huzzah to being innovative! forget anyone telling you to back down and just keep eve the way it is!
I would be careful of getting 400k members with the tech we have to day but I bet you'd find some miracle way of letting even more players online anyways :)

COSMOS 2.0
COSMOS is a CCP project which aims to paint additional variety onto the immense canvas of the 5000 solar-system universe. COSMOS Projects today pursue differing visions depending on their locations ű an Empire COSMOS area might be focused on Agent Missions, Complexes and Mini-Professions, while a 0.0 COSMOS area is perhaps focused on unique resources in new environments, Exploration, Complexes and some unique end result (such as Combat Boosters) from the specific local resources. COSMOS 2.0 turns this on its head, allowing the player community to build up infrastructure all over the universe. Utilizing new environments, empty Deadspace pockets and other cosmic resources, players will be able to build Complexes to exploit key resources. Our role in this is to expose the canvas to the playerbase and create a big palette of cosmic paints. It will no doubt be a long, hard road, but the destination will be worth the effort.
Bigger empire, maybe with factional warfare but it wouldn't be much and besides. Empire is all already pretty big :) unless you mean high sec is to small then well, you'll have to learn to move out into lower sec space. which is actually not so bad :)
