To any GM's monitoring this thread:
I have a standing of 9.65 with my highest faction atm and I am closing on the 2 run navy BS offer with the cosmos/faction agent. With the coming changes to agents, I am slightly nervous about any possible changes to the above.
Are there going to be any changes to the above faction standing trade-in cosmos agents or will it remain the same?

Has anything been done to ensure that data from the test server doesn't overwrite data from the real server?

Just a bit of a bugbear of mine...
"Client Changes Changes to user settings, capture and logs :
In Windows XP & Windows 2000: User Settings : C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE Capture and logs: C:\Documents and Settings\%user%\My Documents\EVE In Windows Vista : User settings : C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE Capture and logs: C:\Users\%user%\Documents\EVE "
These are wrong, purly because the user name does not always match the profile path of that user.
Cases where username and profile parth name come out of whack: Change of username Old profile becomes corrupt Folder already exists when logging in as that user And if you change the documents and settings path (wont be c:\users or c:\documents and settings as it has) C: doesnt hold windows (and therfore default profiles path isnt on c:)
The correct paths should be changed as per below, because they will be correct in all cases:
In Windows XP & Windows 2000: User Settings : %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE Capture and logs: %userprofile%\My Documents\EVE In Windows Vista : User settings : %userprofile%\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE Capture and logs: %userprofile%\Documents\EVE
Not a biggie, but I did notice it

Originally by: Jimer Lins Couple of questions about the onboard scanner. I've spent a long time working on my exploration skills and I don't want to see them become useless- the oboard scanner has a 5AU range, better than the most long-range exploration probe except the multispec.
Given it's extremely short scan time, even with a cripplingly low 25 points of sensor strength, I wonder if it'll be practical to simply take a noobchar in a starter frigate to every planet in a system and scanspam to find higher end content.
You'd have a small chance of finding something and with a scan time of 30 seconds, you'd be able to do 10 scans in the time it takes a moderately accomplished exploration pilot to do one.
Only time will tell, but I don't want to see the free scanner become a cheap and effective alternative to the dedication it takes to do real exploration properly.
Given how small the sensor strength is, I'm not *too* worried about this, and can actually see how it might be useful for normal explorers to quickly eliminate hits that are low-end which they'd otherwise waste time scanning down.
Still- 5AU? Seems kind of long range.
So basically you're whining because you're worried that the upcoming change as somehow mitigated your investment in probing skills in some way shape or form.
To wit: if it did, who cares? If not, then it doesn't matter anyway (which is the case). End result: you're being a whining acrimonious jerk who's worried about someone else getting a leg up on him for free.
Allow someone who is more astute than yourself to explain the change:
The new built in scanner will allow players who do not have a probe launcher fitted to their ship to find the new exploration style complexes that were once the static complexes etc.
In no way will the new built-in scanner be able to locate any of the traditional exploration content. That will always be the domain of probes.
Because I said so...

Does this mean that hi-sec research towers are now vulnerable to war-decs? Surely you would've given the community more warning than a single sentence buried in the patch notes.
Everyone knows lab slots are overloaded in empire. Research towers are an (expensive) way to overcome the problem. If you allow them to be pirated in hi sec with a war dec you are landing a crippling blow on the industrial side of the player base. They don't even work properly yet; you can't allow others to rent out your research slots and copying / invention from within the alliance is horribly bugged as you should know from the many "move my items out of his lab" petitions.
That whole "let invention help the T2 market," yeah that will be given a huge setback by the primary source of copy slots being put at risk if I read your patch notes correctly.
Got it in one! All you scumbag carebears will now be open for war decs. To the noob corps! Flee like the cowards you are!

[snip]
Not even that, good probing skills can get you down to around 100 seconds on exploration probes, and with a MUCH better scan strength, furthermore you can deploy and scan with multiple probes simultaneously.
Not to mention the new tech II probe launchers *salivates*

I like the non-emergency warp when logging in a POS bubble - very nice.
The deployment does seem a little early however, considering some of these changes only made their way onto the test server yesterday. ---

Even with high-sec towers being fair game for wardec attack, I don't think it'll make the job that hard on you.
Suppose you get decced by the usual run of the mill everyday corp. The worse they can throw at you are battleships. A handful of POS turrets can quickly dispose of these. At worst, you offline some labs to online the defense mechanisms and everything's peachy.
And if you do get decced by a large alliance with dreads and all that, it's still not so much of a problem. I don't even remember if dreads can enter high-sec space... but let's say yes - worst case scenario. First, the interest of an enemy alliance in a lab-oriented POS are minimal, plus the fact that they'll gain zero sovereignty from this and will have ended up destroying a few labs and the blueprints that were under research at the time. Unless the enemy alliance is hellbent on ticking you off or knows of a window where you are researching a very expensive piece of BPO, I'm pretty sure they'll have bigger fish to fry.
You can rest easy.

How about increasing number of Mobile Labs copy slots?
It was promised that will be looked. One slot is too low. Two slots would be significant improvement.
P.S. My apogyes if it is in patch notes and I overlooked, but I am shure it is not there.

iirc, Revelations II will include the DX9 graphics update - leaving the DX10 and full-on war features until Revelations III.
Yet there is no mention in the Patch Notes about the DX9 graphics update. Has that been deferred again?

I looked a bit, and I didnt see any mention of the removal of autoupdate from the wallet transaction tab. Is this feature still coming? How about the orders tab? And will it apply to personal wallets? I know it was listed under some of the corporation improvements for this patch. What will it apply to, if it is still being implemented?
