Originally by: Janu Hull Right click-hold, then press left mouse button while holding right click, slide mouse forward while holding both.
If that doesn't work, try right click-hold, wiggle mouse, left click-hold then slide. I've not been able to get it to work any other way for the last 6 months or so.
Zoom in on the Minmatar fighter drone and check out the little Minie guy in there.

Beat this:
Did anyone here know that your camera can be like a rubber band? I can wind it up a dozen times and let it go, and boy does it spin.
When your in the station use right click to drag your view around (Horizontally) then let go.
You will note (if you haven't already) that your view snaps back to looking at your ship.
Most never think beyond this, and simply find it useful.
But one day I wondered what would happen if I could somehow wind up my camera a couple of times, would it simply snap back to look at the ship? Or spin around a couple of times before snapping back?
Well I figured out like 3 years ago, how to find out:
Right click (on the lift side for this test) and drag your view horizontally, do not let go of the mouse or the button till your mouse is on the station panel. Once your mouse is over the station panel (IE no longer controlling stuff in space), you can safely let go of the mouse and your camera will NOT snap back.
Cool enough right?
Now, right click again on the far side (the same one you started from the first time) and without letting go, do the same thing again as just before. You now should have "Wound up" your camera for at least 720 degrees or more (IE two spins).
If you now right click in space near your ship in the station (right click I think) and instead of winding it up again, simply let go, your camera will spin (on it's own) 720 degrees back to the ship...
You can thus wind up your camera many many times, and let go, and the camera will spin and spin as fast as it can go as many times as you have wound it till it finally comes to rest looking back at your ship.
Try winding it up a dozen times or so before letting go if you want to know the meaning of truly getting dizzy.
I have never tried to find out how many times I can wind up the camera before I reach it's max/limit. I always got bored trying...
Seriously, I wonder if there is one or if I can even find it. The game must store somewhere what the cameras facing is, and how many times it has been spun around, to allow it to do what it does when you use right click this way.
This means their must be some kind of limit...
If I could find this limit, what would it do? would I have to reset the game to get control back? would I have to spend 10 minutes watching it spin before it would be done?
Seriously... Try it, it's novel! ********************************************* "Stars Die... Empires fall... We are dust..." ********************************************* |
