Even then I keep putting them on hold for a day or two.
I hate that "putting them on hold for a day or 2". Been doing that for a remap... Going on 4 months already. I *WAS* going to go back to int/mem but noooo... I can now fly 2 different races carriers and dreadnaughts. Do I? Not really, but I can. I figured train up some stuff before the remap and just kept training... almost 20 mill SP in ships. I only need to bring a couple more up and then I'll remap... Uph! |

1.1mil in Mining from when I first started and though mining was the best way to make money 340k in Minmatar/Gallente ships due to corporate rules (ugh...)
It's not much, but it still annoys me to see wasted skillpoints when I have so many other things I want. |

any skill that claims to earn "easy money" at some insane rate of 1 plex a week.
These include Mining, and Planet Interaction.
skills that any ship that requires 400mil isk to fit and fly, These include Battleships, Orcas, and T2 fitted Battle Cruisers, when in reality I should stick to well fitted T1 frigs instead.
Learning that after making those B-lines straight into a shipfit is a really bad idea.
However with time wasted and Isk lost, I've began to learn to taylor my training around the things I use frequently. Like projectiles after using them 80% of the time, and scanning and salvaging, or anything else I instantly do when I log onto eve.
Its perhaps best to ignore those 1 year uber plans from Evemon and plan my ques based upon my flavor of the week. |

Call me crazy but if it costing you 400 mil to fit out any of the ships you mention (less the Orca) then please post which market you are buying from so I can set up some ships/mods to sell.

I used to train mining skills during my first two months of the game but then I realized mining was essentially shooting rocks so you can make money and shoot rocks with bigger ships.

(1) Get pwned by a shiny ship, decide to train for it. After getting pwned as soon as they undock realise they dont have the pilot skill to actually fly the thing well. Coincidentally these pilots also seem to post on here asking for specific ship buffs/nerfs.
(2) Happen to be walking outside (a rare occurence) when noticing a cloud that kind of looks like a ship they saw undock once in Jita. Time to train for that bad boy.
(3) Whilst looking through the skills and training menu, sneeze. The resulting mucus kind of looks like an arrow pointing at a certain skill. Time to train it.
Come on guys there is literally hundred's, if not thousands of hours worth of research posted on the internet. No excuse for wasting hundreds of hours training a skill that is completly useless......well to you anyhow.
Oh and to the OP I recommend revisiting a Curse, with Recon V it is a very nice ship.....if you can fly the thing correctly ofc.
To those that plan and it just doesnt work out. Well I feel your pain I can pilot a Drake. Something that makes me deeply ashamed everytime I think about it.

Pretty much every capital related skill. I've never been a big fan of capitals and swore I wouldn't touch them on this character and ended up in a triage Thanatos anyways. Only a few months wasted on training capital specific skills, so not a huge time loss. What I hate most is having too many non-maxed skills cluttering my characfer sheet, and I'm not particularly looking forward to spending half a year finishing them off at some point.
One good skill that came out of that skill training blunder was Logistics 5, something I wouldn't have trained otnerwise. I've enjoyed flying logistics a lot more than I thought I would. |

Defenders are useless, FOF are ok -> semi afk ratting in 0sec is priceless, specially when you are dual boxing 2 anoms on 2 accounts, you dont have to pay attention on second account actually...
I regret the following:
All mining skills I have (can fly mining barges /o\ ) !!! I found out I just couldnt sniff rocks :\ Caldari BS 5 and cruise spec -> because ppl told me how raven is great for PVE - it isnt, amarr BS are 100x better in EM weak rat space, and Ill never jump into chimera

On this char, not anything I can think of that I regret training...not now we have the hybrid buff. Maybe 11.5 mill in leadership as a Gallente is meh, but I plan to cross train in the future, so hopefully they will come good.
I have an alt with pretty good Planet Management skills, and wish I had put them into something else instead. I find PI so tedious...would just prefer to do something less painful, like castrate myself with a blunt butter knife. "In the beginning the Universe was created. I wish you could remove injected but not trained skills from your skillsheet. Maybe they could make it have a 24 hour cooloff period followed by several confirmation windows or something so it was virtually impossible to do it accidentally. |

F.o.F.'s are underrated. They scare the **** out of every bold Ewar ship trying to solo. I usually carry a few with me, safed me more than once.
The skill I doubt the most at this time is multi-tasking, still don't know why core certificates tell you to train those to three. |

It comes in handy if you find yourself flying logistics.
For me it would be: - Afterburner V - trained it on one character when I went inactive for a couple of months and just decided I'd max all kinds of skills I had at IV without spending any thought on it. I'd actually spend training time to untrain it back to IV.
- Marauders V made me some isk back before pirate faction BS were boosted, but today I have no use for the skill at all and would probably ditch it without any refund.
- Hardly ever made any use of my BLOPS and Jump Portal Generation skills, but maybe CCP will look at them eventually, so no harm done.
- I hate flying Dreads and don't plan to fly a Titan, so my Amarr Dreadnought an Capital Energy Turret skills did nothing for me but boring POS-bashes and a few ok-ish killmails - all in all a waste though.
Oh - and being able to fly a Drake or Falcon is indeed quite embarassing (I never did though). morons- sting like a butterfly and-ápost like a bee. |
