*Please keep your flames to yourself*
Xelas Alliance has been my home since I was 1 month old in game, sick of missions, after doing 1 lvl 3, a friend (jaysonia) asked did I want to join IITI. I thought why not and moved to the nearest recruitment station. After traveling into low sec one jump (udianoor) I lose my badger. I fly the rest of the journey in my pod. I make it to our home at the time, A-1CON.
So about 3 days of listening to ts, and only being able to move around in a shuttle, a corp member lends me 1mil isk (at that time it was alot to me still) I use this to buy myself a kestrel and join my first 0.0 gang. Funnily enough I don't lose this ship for about a week. During this week organization is going on for the deployment of the PNQY-Y outpost, Mitch Taylor leading the Operation. We move the freighter to hophib to I think pick up the egg, I didn't know what to make of ts at the time. I experience my first extra long warp with a freighter in gang. The D4KU-5 warp takes in excess of 8 minutes, with myself not making the full warp, thank you caldari warp drives.
After the Outpost is deployed there are various fleet ops (Yes thats right Xelas had fleets!). I find my new favorite pvp ship within my skills to fly and actually help in a gang. The merlin! Best frig imo and that will never change. Getting older and ratting to supply myself with isk for more pvp ships, the pvp jitters still hit me today. I take every opportunity to join gangs and kill stuff. There were many in xelas at this time that were "non-constructive" I remember major stormer leaving xelas with demon womb corp, saying we would be dead and gone in a matter of weeks. After various war decs and 'spankings' Major left that corp and joined a new one. Later moving into Celestial Apoc. On that note i'd like to say thank you to Celest, always a source of entertainment and fun in fountain, wether in pvp or from some of the "comments" in local channels. <3 you guys.
Major has been one of those people who constantly flamed xelas regardless of anything. But I NEVER remember him helping in any constructive way other than complaining. Anyway enough of that. Moving on the the constructive characters I met in my time.
Mitch Taylor - My thanks and respect you will always have m8, from the gangs you lead whether the outcome good or bad I always learned something from you, and Dex of course. Blue Flame - Definitely a character I always got on with. Regardless of his decisions it was always fun. Best CEO imho! Imoshen Solomani - Greatest source of caldari knowledge I would ever have the privilege of knowing. Proxay - Well I could write a biography on this lad, enough said at great FC!
There are countless others, my corp mates for one, aside from a few trouble makers they were excellent friends and will continue to be.
I've been with Xelas, from the ASCN attack, the Insurgency attempt to hold pnqy-y (which they "didn't want to hold anyway"), The horde fiasco, the d2 invasion. Xelas has survived until we were "evicted". I hold no bad vibes (what is this the 80's?) towards BoB for this, as tbh it was needed in a way.
I was and still am not supporting the recruitment of "heavy ratters" into any 0.0 alliance! Some people want to give them a chance, but I believe you do that and you are only securing them in space that will make it harder to shift them from at a later time. I am however not refering to doomsday, regardless of what people think of them, i've seen more pvp from them than alot of other players, and not just ones in xelas alliance either! The attitude of "well if that corp can have farmers, our corp can to" was what I believe to be xelas's lowest possible moment.
That out of the way, xelas is not the only alliance that has harbored "heavy ratters" and when people rushed to the forums calling foul on xelas for this I think they should have been looking closer to home first.

Seeing people from FIX, Coreli, Fatal in that eviction thread saying "good riddens" to xelas was not the nicest thing to see, and I have a good memory and will not forget such comments. Next time be careful with the reply button.
BoB, although some don't still believe this, were great allies/friends whatever you say. We lived in one of the richest regions FREE OF CHARGE (let me specify now, WE DID NOT PAY RENT!) and with really no restrcitions on what we did. Some people in Xelas let this freedom affect them in ways they shouldn't and the carebear mentality set in. "Why pvp and lose isk when I can make it" Trying to start a gang and recieveing a million questions about the gang and its purpose from overly cautious people was really annoying, mentioning no names.
On to current events, DeckardIRL, you had my respect at one stage, but your actions and comments in the last while have lost you that. Bombshell Cartel, on the whole A GREAT BUNCH OF PILOTS! But some of their members atitude and free roam of one constellation went to their heads, still though some great people in BC. Fatal Alliance, pushy, ignorant but still alot of good pilots fly safe guys.
I've learned much in my past 9-10months in xelas alliance i've learned alot, flowen with some spectaular people, fought some great enemies, had tons of fun, made loads of isk, lost alot too. I will continue to stick with my corp until im left with pretty much no other choice. Xelas Alliance and all pilots to ever fly under the name, I loved flying with you all regardless of wether we got on our not. Fly safe all of you and see you all in space again soon.
Xelas Alliance created the pilot I am today, and i'm thankful for that and I hope others are too.
P.S. Not a goodbye Eve story, not a farewell Xelas story, just a story from the eyes of an XS grunt.
To my usual gang composition (you know who you are) ill see you soon, now time to go pirating YARR!

I flew 14 hauler trips of minerals 11 jumps from one of your corps POS's to PNQY. I was one of only 4 people out of 150 who bothered to get a PVP ship to save a carrier. I deployed in every PVP op there was dispite appalling numbers from everyone else. I put up with the constant crap in alliance chat. I flew on 6 freighter ops.
I am still pleased to see you die.
Have fun.

Xelas used to be a far more respectable than they are today.
The reason people from Xelas' former allies say "good riddance" is because many remember very little of what Xelas was and honestly don't really care; what they do know is Xelas' modern self; an alliance full of ISK farmers with fewer top-class PvPers than I have fingers.
Its been a long, long road for Xelas, and unfortunately its been the wrong road.

I dont think/hope that any Coreli members said good riddance, Xelas however has been making a nuisance out of itself through mass recruiting of those god damn isk farmers. I and im fairly certain the majority of my corporation has nothing against Xelas or its members. -----

R0ot, I can honestly state that neither me nor my corp has nothing against Xelas.
However when we moved into Fountain and started pew pewing with Celes in the first week it really didn't make a good impression that the first Xelas we saw was people who talked Chinese on local, flew cloaking ravens and picked the area to farm NPCs where we were fighting and dying at.
Of course later we had better encounters with other Xelas folks but as people say, first impressions count.

Having spent 4 and 1/2 months in Fountain (as of now), the time I saw Xelas at their best was under the leadership of AXE FCs. Xelas has a few decent PVP pilots to be sure, but even that far back, the problem of ISK farmers was becoming apparent, and it only got worse from there. Something about the general attitude of everyone I knew towards your group gradually changed for the worse - a reflection on the prevailing attitudes within your alliance.
I admit I have a terrible memory, so if I said anything particularly rude, along the lines of Good Riddance, I apologize to the good pilots of Xelas. To the bad pilots (and there are an unfortunate many), I must say, Good Riddance to bad rubbish.
For those of you who aren't handling this well, I wish you good luck; there is plenty of space out there to try to make a name for yourselves within - now that you have no anchors to hold you down, set sail and find a new harbor. Wow thats a corny statement

For the record:
Xelas did have some good pilots, and in spite of what has been posted all over the forums, I'm sure that those pilots that have established themselves a reputation will have no trouble finding new homes if they want them.
As for Xelas as a whole, I wish them well (no joke, I serious wish the well), but if they wanted to be in BoB space, then the alliance "as a whole" needed to meet that standards expected of folks holding space for no rent.
Play nice while you butcher each other.

Fun times,
Anyone who knows me knows I'm someone who just fights for the hell of it, 1 year in fountain, a good 80% of that time spent trying to fight and kill stuff.
R0ot is a good irishman, and a good tackler, sometimes good at dropping cynos in the middle of enemy fleets, but it's always done with a falcon...so expensive when they figure out where all the capitals are comming from.
There are a hell of a lot of good pilots in Xelas, we just lacked organization, and for that it seemed like there were few.
A few of us in Xelas saw it comming a long while back, and some of us harbour no ill-will towards bob, but some people who dedicated a lot of resources recently *STC* have a lot to be upset about, and I wish them luck in their future.
To all the corporations in Xelas, best luck in all your futures, if people dont recruit corps simply based on where they came from, they're letting a lot of good players slip through their fingers.
Regards, Proxay.

Don't know if you are being sarcastic or not but it is true. Celes never wanted that station. We took the outpost because we wanted a fight simple as that. Same thing for the several POS we destroyed for Xelas. If you think of it, the first months we didn't touch any of your POS'es because we got lots of fights. Then it changed and you moved out of core and was more reluctant to engage us so we had to removed your expensive safespots.

It could be just a timezone thing, but the only resistance in fountain I ever enocountered were xelas in the last 3 months I've been in and out. And they have performed well... Noone else ever bothered to undock. And of that, I'm not so impressed. But as I said, it could just be a TZ thing... ___ P.S. Post with your main. Mind control and tin hats |

Please tell me what CELES wanted with the station in PNQY. The one in A-1 is much better.

didnt celes have all top10 places on the xelas killboard for months? that would explain alot about xelas "willingness" and "capabilities" to fight just one small corp
xelas couldnt even guard their own nuts so why would bob want them to guard theirs
