Edited by: Siigari Kitawa on 24/06/2007 04:40:51 I'm not trolling, I'm purely just curious as to how this works, from a software point of view.
A minute ago, there was 377 players online, and I was #64 in the Queue. Now there are 928 players online, and I am #9 in the Queue. UPDATE: now I am #10 in the Queue.
Why did some 500 players get in ahead of me?
How does this system work? _________________ Burn. |

It can't be based on the cuteness of your avatar, cause that avatar's pretty cute.

I would assume that since there is a period of time between queue status and online status. the whole logging in part that can take a minute or two.. the number of people online and the number you are in queue are probably not going to match up

Great post, was wondering the same thing myself. My guess would be that the first number represents the global count on the cluster while the second indicates the queue of a specific server within the cluster.
An annoying thing is that when you do reach #1, if you botch your password (damn you capslock) you forsake your spot and are relaunched into the queue again.

Had the exact same problem... and posted on it about 2 min before you :)
I jumped from #1 at 377 players online to #1 at 2167 players online, now I cant claim to be a math genius but in my world 377+1 << 2167.
In the end I simply relogged and came in without hitting the queue, odd really.
