This is not a pro-privateer or pro-00 thread. I've pvped in all places. Empire, low, 00. Here's the low down of each area of pvp.
Empire- Possibly the best place to pvp if you fight a worthy opponent. Good battles tend to be 10vs10-20vs20, usually never larger than then later. As a pilot I never have to worry about those damn dictors or bubbles which is a big plus. Also titants, moms, and other capitals cannot fight in empire. Good battles in empire are generally rare. Solo roaming is easily doable, it just lacks fun because half the wartargets are probably docked.
Low Sec- Good place to pvp. It's great to get a free kill off a pirate. Solo is easily doable here, and it is much easier to get kills becuase as a pirate everything is kia. But theres a price. Need to buy a command ship thats in empire? No can do. Need to buy faction or t2 goodies in Jita? No can do as I am the average poor 18 year old. Low Sec is probably where the most fun is, but becoming a pirate is something that doesnt interest me.
0.0- Oh yes, the fabled awesomeness of 00 combat. Been there done that. Bubble camps, blobs, and a whole lot of nothingness. Sometimes you get lucky and get adecent fight or kill a bunch of npcers with good loot, but usually 00 is bland. The risk is not worth the reward of killing 1 thing every 1-2 hours of roaming.
So eve community, where/how do you find Eve fun to play?

Right now, trying to make easy money on the market. Before that, trying to run a POS solo in deep 0.0. Before that, hauling POS fuel through gate camps to sell in 0.0 outposts.
The OP seems to have decided that he wants to PvP, and is trying to find a way to do so that is fun. Without a goal, however, very little in Eve is fun. None of the three things I mention above are particularly fun in and of themselves, it is the striving towards something bigger that makes it interesting.
On the few occasions that I have PvP'd it was fun, despite PvP in EVE being, well, fairly crap, because I did so for a reason. On the many, many, occasions when my objectives do not require shooting at people, as I said above, I do things other than PvP. -

I enjoy mining, production, ratting and exploration--all in high-sec. Lo-sec and 0.0 really don't appeal to me because I'm just not interested in pvp combat. I don't have a battleship, so it's pointless to even go to 0.0 because without one you can't rat and can't mine solo. You can't do much of anything solo in 0.0.
I don't have much playing time, so when I enter the Eve universe I don't like being in a situation where I have to be with a group to have fun (like in 0.0). If I can't do it solo in high-sec, I don't bother.
I'm in a good corp, but they tend to stay in 0.0.

This is all *******s. I lived in 0.0 for something like 6-9 months, I flew a BS for maybe the last month of that, even during the couple of months when my corp was down there I still did everything solo anyway. This included ratting, hauling goods from empire, and running a POS.
Soloing is perfectly possible in 0.0, and it's damn profitable too. -

This is patently untrue. Your corp and alliance in 0.0 either have outposts of thier own or docking rights in someone else's. Or there's NPC stations. Get a passive tanked Jaguar and set up a jump clone in one of the afore mentioned stations.
You guys are in Geminate right? I did this for weeks when I was in Roadkill. I made almost a billion ISK in just over 2 days with some lucky dread spawns.
0.0 isn't as hard as some people make it out to be as long as you're a little bit careful. -

Shame you posted it in general discussion then.
But I agree totally. Ironically, empire does seem to be the best place for it. Any attempts at small gang roams in 0.0 end up getting you blobbed, it's just a matter of time.
As for the difference between low sec and high sec pvp, the main difference is the intervention of capitals. It's a total shame when what could be a fun close fight ends up a gankfest when capitals get involved. (Not to say that low sec pvp isn't fun, it is)
That leaves high sec, which apart from half the people being docked and afk there, can be quite fun.
As for where do I find fun? I'm still deciding.

Your insulting response is totally outside of the intent of this thread.

Either you're a troll or an idiot, probably both, but I'm bored, so I'll respond anyway. You may notice I removed from the quote the parts of your post referring to what you do, and only the kept the parts where you spoke complete fiction about 0.0. That commentary about what you think is possible was outside the intent of this thread. -

How about get some corpmates to help with the buying and selling of larger ships/mods, etc? Or stay in 0.0. The fighting is usually pretty good there. Best thing about camps is that you know where your enemy is at...

I SHOOT STUFF YAAAAAAAAARRRR
*ahem*
I'm also 18 and on a student budget but even before I had bad sec status I ran a free alt (on the same account) that could've moved stuff to low sec for me. Alternatively I could've made use of contracts. Despite the shoestring budget (paid hourly and have junk hours) I run 2 accounts. Sec status is the least of my worries.
