Anyone else have any experiecne on using these?
Just ripped through World Collide. 5,000 Caldari Navy Cruise missiles Cost 4.2M + 4,200 LP
Mission reward Some Isk - say 30M in bounties is the majority of it 7600 LP
2800 missiles left, so assume you can run two of these missions. The added damage output makes for a little more akward volley as it is not enough to take out a BC in a single volley but two are too much, which means split shooting the second volley. My guess is that Warhead Upgrade V and the 5% damage increase implant might make the BC single volley-able which in case Cruise are once again on-par with Torps.
Would be very interesting to hear some Torp users give their input on faction ammo and how it affects their mission..?

They're nice goodies and bring a CNR missile-only-wise easily at 1000dps. But they surely don't pay off in missions. For PvP maybe a nice thing. -- This game is still in beta stage |

I love the new navy cruise, but only use em for missions that can pay for them, ie: WC, GE and AE.

I love faction torps, got through vengence in under 15 minutes last night and getting 934 dmg per missile is also dam nice. Im getting about 950dps atm and with drones its maybe 1100dps, but if u got high end officer gear u could push that quite alot higher.

They do pay off. Before switching to faction missiles worlds collide took me 45 minutes approx with those missiles I do it in 30 minutes approx. Ofc mission itself was also a bit tweaked but I would say that overall difficulty remained same. Faction missiles are like T2 missiles but without drawbacks and usable in faction launchers. Missiles itself have 15% better dps compared to regular T1 ammo. In combination with other changes in latest patch dps for mission runners has increased at least 20% (ammo + 5% damage hardwire) if not 25 .. 30 % (ammo+damage hardwire + RoF hardwire a lot cheaper + cheaper faction stuff).

Don't know for you but atm my best hit is 649 damage / 6.2 rof with CN Cruice Lunchers and CN Missiles. Before, best hit was 508.

Makes you wonder if faction ammo is worth it for turret ships? Dunno if lenses are, but the sad thing about hybrid/projectile ammo is you tend to use a lot more of it :(
All we now need are some faction drones ...
More on topic, I def agree that those few faction missiles are worth it for most missions, faster missioning = faster cash and standings.
PS: 30 mins for WC is just rubbing drone users the wrong way ... no way I can get through a mission of that level that fast in my domi... give us a faction domi with +1 drone per level!!

THey do. Not all missions. But in a large-spawn/high-bounty mission that stresses your ship they can be useful, and economical, if used in spots. I don't use them on all targets or the whole mission.
But I do carry some with me for those times I've got a tough-nut to *****. Or the mission is going to get me jumped with a large group of reinforcements and if I used plain old cruise missiles I might be forced to warp out repeatedly because I can't knock down enough damage dealers, quickly enough to keep my tank as stable and as solid as I'd like.

Sorry. Should have been a bit clearer. That is with 2x CNR's with faction/t2 fittings. One with torpedoes and another with cruise missiles. Not trying very hard to be 'effective'. I imagine I could cut down the time to approx 25 minutes or even 20 min if I would try harder (avoid torpedo overkills and so on). Killing off 3 stages (1 st stage, serpentis stage, last stage).

Can't speak for Gallente or Minmater but the Faction crystals for Amarr are absolutely worth it for missions. Slap a set of them in an Abaddon and i can even cut through Angels in a resonable time where as before, i used to skip anything that had Angels in them.
They last awhile too before needing replacing. About as long as a Modulated T1 Strip Mining crystal. I think i did around 40 or more missions before my first set wore out.

For me it's very usefull. I fly a Sleipnir with 650 cannons, the Faction ammo speeds up all missions and with cannons slow rof 5000 units lasts me 2-4 missions (depending on missions).
