Does anyone know what type of damage sentry guns do? I have been messin' around, trying to get a T2 frigate to tank sentry guns just for giggles, and it would be helpful to know what type of damage they do. For that matter, what is their tracking? is it possible to outrun them? Any information would be helpful.
Thanks

They do all damage types, and have insane tracking. My Hawk, an assault frigate, set up more for tanking than tackle, was 3-shotted by a turret when I accidently fired. ----- Griffin -- 100,000 ISK ECM - Multispectral Jammer Is -- 20,000 ISK Standard Missile Launcher Is -- 10,000 ISK War target sobbing over losing a fight in his T2 fitted Battleship -- priceless |

If someone were to do that, is there a chance the sentry guns would shoot the person doing the remote-repping?

Yes, sentry guns cycle through targets. The remote repping is usually done by a BS such as the scorpion or a capital/supercapital, (often accompanied with remote sensor boosting, for crazy fast lock times), who can easily tank the spread fire from the sentries.

Yet if the remote repper is only repping and has not engaged or been flagged why would the sentries fire on them at all?

Remote repairing (as well as remote sensor boosting, cap transfer and any other assistance) someone who is flagged, flags you as well and you become a valid target for the sentries.

Remote repping a target thats getting shot by sentries will flag you also, even if it's an unflagged outlaw will flag you.
Bottom line is unless in a large gang even a super fitted T2 frig wont last long under sentry fire. Even most T2 cruisers can't tank sentries solo for too long, usually because of cap. iirc 2x sentries and billboard do about 250dps spread over all dmg types which is alot for any ship tanking solo. -----
