EFT needs one feature in my opinion : a "Quirks Mode".
It would be an option who, activated, will permit to drag/drop any module to ANY slot, despite any hardpoint limitation (4 turrets for 5 slots ? don't care, I drop 1 more) and who don't stop me if I want drop a plate in a med slot.
When you see the new incoming changes (Zealot +1 hardpoint turret, or Deimos with -1 med / + 1 low, etc...), this option can permit to create new fits without have to wait for an upgrade of EFT, and so permit to have more informations and make more easy some tests in SiSi (and comment it in devblogs topics).
Of course, this can have some problems (Deimos + 265 Capacitor, difficult to reproduce), but maybe it is possible to edit temporary some caracteristics of the ship as long as this option is enabled. Offline, all would return to normal. _______

I have some strange problem (it occures from early version). If i doubleclick anything (modules, other windows) my character window appears. It's quite annoying closing it after every action.
Second thing: I'm not able to import fit using copy function. I got message from EFT if I want to do it, then I click ok and I get error message "Floating point division by zero"
Thanks for help
PS. Still I miss some search tools when I can find only these modules which I can fit in my current fit (taking left CPU and powergrid into considiration)

Don't know about the .dat files. But you can copy the fit to the clip board (same drop down as new, duplicate, delete fit). Paste it into notepad, make changes, and then ctrl+A ctrl+C to put the changes back on the clipboard. When EFT next gets focus, it'll ask you if you want to import the fit.
BTW, does anyone know if siege warfare modules affect capital shield transporters? -- Flame on. |

I found a bug when using the auto targeting systems (The tech 2 one specifically). Instead of adding the 3 extra targets like the description says it should, it only adds 1.

speed calcs seem to be a bit fubar in this new version its almost as if its calculating in the navagation skill twice im playing with a malediction in game and i get different speeds than in eft. plz fix

I noticed that In the side window it has Gang Assist Modules as 25 energy per cycle, but when you actually fit them to you ship it put them in as 2.5 energy per cycle.

Lately when I try and update my character information using quick import, I get the message "Connection Failed". I'm unable to update my characters now, short of manual editing.
What do I need to do to fix this?

Ah, never thought of that, but you're absolutely right, switched over to the level 5 character and the number og targets jumped right up to 9 as it should. Well debunked!

When you fit it to your ship it does not display cap usage "per cycle" instead it displays it as "per second" or "cap use per cycle/duration time in seconds" specifically. This is to show you how much you are ACTUALLY using since 100 cap use on a 120 second duration module is significantly less than 5 cap use on a 2 second duration module.

OK, having an issue with loading skills. Not sure if anyone else mentioned it, but I didn't see anybody else with this problem.
I go to View -> Character Editor -> Import, enter my API key and User ID, hit connect, then it gives me the option to select which character I want to load skills for. All is kosher thus far.
Choose my character, hit OK... and nothing happens. It's obviously getting the information if it can see the correct characters, but the skills won't load for some reason. Anyone know if it's a software issue, or am I just an idiot and missing something obvious?

This has happened to me before. I went and did it again, and then the skills updated. So just keep trying.
Dunno if it is a EFT known issue or just a problem with the API in general - try browsing a couple of pages back and see if you find something.

I've tried it around 20-25 times or so, and still nothing. Could it be an issue with my wireless connection? I doubt it is, but still... I'm grasping for anything it may be.

API import loads skills to the selected character. If you haven't created a new one before importing you get your skills loaded to "All level 5" character. --- There is no Amarr problem. |

Hey there, Is there any way out there -maybe via an add on I obviously still don't know about- to include faction mods into the list? Been playing around with all the options, still can't find them.

Anyone tried to update/import their character API within the last 24 hours (on the assumption that my problem is related to the proxy update or whatever that happened during that time)? I keep getting "connection failed" when using my API info now.
