I made a bugreport about the descriptions of the Harbinger and the Hurricane, their bonuses seem to suggest that they work for all size weapons, little text oversight, nothing more, but been annoying me since they got introduced:
Quote: Harbinger: Battlecruiser Skill Bonus: 10% reduction in laser capacitor need and 5% bonus to laser damage
Quote: Hurricane: Battlecruiser Skill Bonus: 5% increase in projectile weapons damage and Rate of Fire
This was the text in my report:
Quote: Title: Bonus discriptions of the Harbinger and Hurricane
Description: The weapon bonus discriptions of the minmater battlecruiser Hurricane and the amarr battlecruiser Harbinger do not have the normal weapon size restrictions mentioned, giving the impression that the bonuses would work for all size guns while they only apply to medium guns (as they should).
This is the response:
Quote: Thank you for your bugreport - ID:40373 Title: Bonus discriptions of the Harbinger and Hurricane Unfortunately, the problem described in your bugreport is such that we need a set of logfiles from your client. Can you please submit a new Bugreport and attach a logfile of the error occuring.
WTF? You need logreports to look at a ship's description tab to see it's wrong? What sort of nonsense is this? I thought I was being helpful filling bugreports now and then but it's obvious you're either outsourcing them to a non-english country or simply can't be bothered to read them...

From my bug reports regarding vista client issues it was pretty obvious that no one responding to bug reports had every tried to play Rev 2 under vista. It's completely unplayable without running as admin (which is a sign that you shouldn't run a program as admin!)... _____ Heat Warfare |

why do you belive that they currently only give the bonuses to medium guns, to me it looks like they give it to all size guns of the ships' race.

Every ship in the game that has a bonus for turrets ONLY gives that bonus to turrets of the 'right' size. Small guns for frigates/destroyers, medium guns for (battle)cruisers, large for battleship, etc. The bonusus on the Harbinger and Hurricane suggest that they work for all size guns but they don't and they shouldn't.

You are correct, they should change the description.

Edited by: Kirov VIII on 07/07/2007 10:52:16 CCP don't take bug report seriously !!!
I have send a bug report about the retriever and the ice.
First response : I can't reproduce bug. (Translation : I don't care, I'm not pay for test that, I make another thing now ...) I resend a second bug report with more details (each click when you try to explain at a noob how mine ...). Second response : It's not a bug. It's a feature lol
When you send a true bug of the game in the code !!! Response : Not reproductable.
When someone say which you have a bug in your code, you send this bug report to the dev which have write this part of code and the dev check the code for found the bug !!!! We don't have the source code, you canno't send you : in the 345 lines of XXX.XXX, there are a bug and need to remplace that XXX by that XXX.
Player take time for make bug report and you give response : not reproductable/not a bug. It's really easy. You don't pay people for make this job, I hope ...

what's the standard reply time from when you submit a bug, to when the confirmation email comes? i filed one yesterday and haven't seen anything yet. maybe i'm just impatient. --gordo |

Your probaly not detailed in your description about it and you problay only checked if it happened once or it could only occur on your computer. I do work in QA and if they cant reproduce it then its something on your side or it only happened once, fluke of nature.

Edited by: Kirov VIII on 09/07/2007 16:59:31 Edited by: Kirov VIII on 09/07/2007 16:58:33 Smog890, I'm sorry but NO !!!
It's recorded on the DB and not come from computer => Problem come from the code. But we can't describe more the issue, if he give me the code, I can probably see the problem :P And I can't reproduce that. Need lag, disconnect and a particular bug for have the problem (and CCP have log of all, they can see on logs) !!! And I'm not alone, somes people have already this problem.
When the client don't load grid or make too many time, the ship go in a safespot. If you disconnect and reconnect, nothing, you disconnect/reconnect again but when you are in space, your ship warp but never reach destination. 50km/sec after 1sec, 49km/sec and continue with m/sec :P If you disconnect again, you warp on a point, go warp in another point and warp again in another point !!! All disconnect point are recorded in the DB, the problem come from the code. Why, where, I don't know ... If CCP don't want see that, send code source and we can read and correct the issue and send to the dev for compile and bug corrected lol
It's probably not our job no ?
Another solution, don't correct and this bug can create more bugs after in a next patch !

What category did you file the bug report under? ------------ LAG - Hopefully teen-appropriate now. IBTL! IBDS/DC! IBTC! 1st in a BoB post! And other such forum tom-foolery. |
