I love statements like that.
As I understand the way time dilation has to work; it will be incremental as load goes up on the server once fully implemented. There really is no better way to test for bugs, than right in the middle of a fleet fight like that. If something can go wrong, it will most certainly go wrong when load has already been applied, and server stress is at its highest. |

There is nothing far fetched about it activating during an ongoing fight.

Being on the test server a lot, time dialation has been tested for over a month now during live tests etc. however, there ARE always unforseen bugs when it goes live.
Oh and it's not always on at the start of the fight. It's supposed to kick in as the node starts to feel real stress. |

Main point is, at least there is a fix for it. Given the state of the Branch campaign that was probably a perfect time/place to test it. Giant battle with effectively zero strategic consequence (not like they were going to suddenly run us out of Branch based on that one battle). |

I don't understand. I was present when it was tested on Singularity and we had not crashed then, we had some issue with shield/cap (that was fixed) but no catastrophic failures. I mean... it was tested and re-tested many times and CCP did an awesome job.
I think that it's a pretty unlucky edge case... anyway, excellent that there's a fix already. |

Actually, we got to see CCP Veritas again this morning when we formed a 600 man fleet. He turned on TiDi and we got to see it all the way down to 10%.
Watching bubbles pop at 10% speed and people coming out of warp was pretty cool, not gonna lie. Even better, hostile cyno alts that previously were able to get out of crossjumps due to crazy lag died to our fleet one after the other.
