It would be nice to have the ability to import multiple characters and choose them on each sheet. For example, I have a miner character and a production character, with seperate skillsets for each character. It would be nice to say "Use the skills for: Miner" in the mining page and "Use the skills for : Producer" in the production type pages.
Nice tool otherwise.

Yes you find the Blueprint in the item database and enter the mineral need manuel, after that you can change the ME lvl to see what lvl is best to research it to, and then you can enter how many runs you want to do and the sheet will calculate how much of each mineral you will need with the ME lvl you have the BP at.

The thing is that when you download the character XML file, then it only contains that character's skill information. Ofcause i could make 2 files, but that would create some other problems that would be irritating for people with only one character. I think in your case, make a second copy of the sheet, one fore each character. But i have thought about it and maybe if i get the auto character skill file update to work, then there might be the possibility to have more than one character in the same sheet.

ok, how do i ad more rows with blueprints? i want to have a long list with every bpo i have... sure a long list will be death to handle but atleast it will be in there.
best would be if you can and your own bpo¦s and ad your me and pe etc. then you have them in a list to pick frome. and also that you can build many items and se the total price, amount. not just frome 1 item at a time.

When you say perfect miniral need, do you mean the perfect amount, taken from the info tap on the BPo? You need to take the miniral need from the EVE item data base or eles you wont have the correct number.

Thanks I will think about how to implement that. The thing is that the field is a formula, so if i make it free the link will be broken. for now what you could do is manually change the Minerals sell price in the data sheet.

Pls, tell us how to add more rows. it's really a nice spreadsheet you've done, but we need more rows for BPs :)
Also, are you gonna make a sheet for t2 production? It would be great to have that to in same sheet.
keep the good work up :)

Unfortunately it is not so easy to add new rows, you cant just copy past, it will need some work to do. But I will try to add up to 10 more in one of the future versions. The next version that I release soon 7,0, will have Capital ship production in it, so thats what im spending my spare time on atm. Thanks for letting me know your what you think of my sheet.

I just uploaded a new version 7,1 with 10more rows for T1 production :)
About T2 production, I have been thinking about it, but the problem is that it needs so many deferent components, so i cant just make it like the T1. But if i find a good solution, then yes i will make a T2 production sheet aswell.

What is the reactor "stk" value in the POS calculator section? I'm not sure what this is referring to, though I'm probably being stupid...

UPS Its Danish for volume, didnÆt see that before , i was trying to make some kind of timer for how long the Complex reactor can run before you have to offline it, to make new simple reaction.
Like 0,75 would be like saying that the complex reactor can run 75% of the total reaction time over a month. Mostly used for complex reactions needing 3 or 4 simple reactions. Stopping the complex reaction will affect the total profit of cause.

Hi,
Firstly I'd like to thank you for a very useful tool, great work.
Secondly I have some bugs/suggestions for you:
- On the Mining page, the Cargo hold number does not adjust the formulae below it unless you set it to 0 it gives a #DIV/0! error, nothing else will make them change, I assume this is a bug.
- T'el'Alana Luathin's mining sheet (which I used a lot when I first started eve in 2005) has a full set of ore rows including the 5+10% versions, this makes it easy to chuck in your ore and see how much you have and also to see what is best to mine by the values; your sheet is a lot harder as you have to switch the rows to see the best value etc. Unless I am using it in a way other than intended would you consider opening this up to include a row per roid type?
- You have not included an option for T1 mining crystals, could you add this also?
- Would you consider adding an ISK per M3 column to aid in the calculation of ore mining value?
- Again referencing T'el'Alana Luathin's mining sheet, would you consider adding a mining operation calculation sheet, so that we could use your sheet to not only see estimated value before the sale but also to track time in op, contribution per time etc.
- While I have not yet made use of your Ore calculator (it does look useful) it dosen't include any place to note down what minerals you already have, would you consider adding this so that it can be taken into account. I'll just clarify that a little more, assuming you enter the total required you can then enter "minerals on hand" and choose buy/mine and it will calculate for you, instead of having to work out required-minerals already on hand, allowing you to C&P from say the production sheet.
Thanks again for this excellent tool.

1: it was a feature I had in some very early versions. I was planning on reintroducing it, that is why I didnÆt delete it from that position, problem is, that I time and time again found something I want to add other than that, so it has be postponed a long time now. But I hope I can find the time to make it work again. But you are right, it does not work at the moment.
2: No, IÆm not going to make all ore visible, I like the more simple look, and having all oreÆs visible makes the sheet too big, and I found that on most mining ops, we donÆt mine all type of ore anyway, so I donÆt see the need. I could of cause add a line to each category, that might help a bit, without making it too big.
3: it is true, that it would seem like I did not have the t1 crystal. But the way I thought of it was, either you use t2 or t1 crystal. So if you set NO to t2 crystal then you use t1, I mean, who will be mining without crystals in a t2strip-miner? But I see you point, and I have now changed the menu to the options T1 or T2 instead of Yes or No.
4: IÆm not saying I wonÆt add this, but again I like to keep it a simple looking. Can you explain what the info about isk/m3 would be good for? Maybe I just didnÆt think of the use of this info?
5: yes, I have one already, but on very simple basis, so it would need some more work to be useable for anyone else than myself J but yes IÆm sure ill do that.
6: Great idea, I didnÆt think about that.
Thanks for your input, IÆm always happy to receive constructive ideaÆs I have just now uploaded version 7,2 including the T1/T2 crystal selection, I will now get started on some of the other ideaÆs.

For those of us who have limited hauling space it is useful to see the profit per m3 so that we can judge which ore is most profitable for our limited space. Likewise this will also make your sheet useful to those who buy to refine as they can see which ores have the best profit per space. Right now the toss-up is between Kernite and Plagioclaise for most valuable ore, if you have plenty of hauling space go with Kernite, if not Plag is a better option especially if you are just starting out in mining with low skills and small ships. I hope this makes it clearer for you.

I think your problem is that you are useing an old version of Excel. From what i see then it is only from Excel 2003 and up, that supports XML update.
If that is the case, then your only option is to manualy enter the skill lvl and mineral prices in the sheet called DATA.

I also second the request for having more ore types listed on the Mining tab. I understand you want to keep that clean look but switching those around constantly is a pita. Maybe add another tab with an expanded section for ores?
Great work!

I have never tryed open office, so not sure what to change to make it work. But i find it strange that it wont acceptskill information if you enter them manualy in the sheet called DATA.

You have deferent sheets in this exl file, like mining / Ore / Ice mining/ / / one of the last sheets is called DATA, from there you can enter your skills.
if you cant see those sheets, then its no wonder why it does not work in open office ------------ Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |
