Thank you for the informatil Jantik, i will see if i can use it to create a Ooffice version that can import the XML.
Originally by: jantik Also I noticed that when you select "Modulated Deep Core II" and a "Skiff" that it does not show your mining output (either ore/min or ore/hour)
yes you are right, i never noted that. I have corrected it for the next version, where i hope ill have the Jump freighter production sheet ready too. |

Dedaf,
Another idea that just struck me, how bout an import/export function. Such as for like minerals/ore/ice/components? Due to having to reenter everything with each new sheet.

Yes i totally agree, it is a pain especially if you have 20 deferent BP in the Production sheet, that you need to reenter.
I have been trying to make some kind of export/import, but they change format and sizes of cells, which is a big problem, and I have not yet been able to export or import all needed data for one sheet alone.
but again like with the APIkey, if someone have a good knowledge in this field, then im always happy to listen for good advice.

I have now put up a new version 8,5 which have the ability to export and import BluePrint information from the T1 Production sheet.
But unfortunately it is not possible to export data from versions lower than 8,5 and therefore it is not possible to import your data from the older versions. So IĈm afraid you will have to re-enter the data again, but hopefully for the last time.
Export and import is the only difference from version 8 to 8,5

Dedaf,
I get the following error when I try and download the file > This file is currently set to private. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team. Will try later and see if its just not a server error. Also I remember another sheet that I used to use that had a button you could click to import/export the info, without having to unprotect the sheet. I will see if I can find it and post the info here, might help ya keeping your sheet protected ***** |

Dedaf,
Quick question on the T1 production sheet... I noticed that a Harb is put in when its downloaded and has values in the Gray Boxes (above where you input mineral amounts). If I add another, lets say a raven and give it an ME value those boxes stay 0. Where is it pulling this BP Mineral info from as I dont see it anywhere in the sheet. ***** |

im not sure Which field it is. Is it the ones for each slot, ex:I22-O22 (slot1) or is it production need Q7-Q11?
gray fields Ixx-Oxx should calculate the minerals use, from the ME LvL calculated from the minerals you entered in the blue fields, ex slot1: I23-O23 the sheet does not import mineral need for blueprints, it calculate it from the minerals you enter, so you need to go to the item database of EVE and enter the minerals needed for(in your case) a raven.
If its the production need, then you simply after filling in minerals in the blue field of a slot, just enter how many you want to build in the blue field C22 (slot 1)

I have put in my api key and userid and character name, when i hit update skill data it looks like it is doing something for a brief second, but no data is updated in the spreadsheet, any ideas?

I found a solution, i had to unmerge the cells for the api key on the data tab and then all worked fine.

cool im glad you got it working, i was supose to unmarge that but forgot , cause i seen that bug too. I have done it now, so in versions to come, it should not be a problem anymore. you could also just paste the APIkey in to the funktion line, incase there are others who dont know how to unmarge cells. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

As fare as iw seen the XML is only supported in Office 2003 and up. But you should still be able to use this Tool. You can enter your skills manually if you scroll down in the DATA sheet, then you will see I have entered names and skill id on needed skills, all you need to do is enter you skill lvl there.
But if it is because you can not even open this sheet, then try out this version, i have saved it in office 97 format. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

I have a question about the t1 production page...
When I slap in a number of minerals for lets say Isogen in a blueprint information spot the input I give is put in a blue box. A new (higher) number then appears above the blue box in grey. What is this new higher number? What number does the input for the blue box represent?
The blue box im referring to is I22 and the grey is I21

Sorry Dedaf let me be more specific. On the Gray rows I20/21 to O20/21 have a "mineral value" encoded in them. Lets say in the type box I put in Raven and that its a BPC and the value. In the Material Level box, G21, I put an ME value of 100, where does the row I20>O20 get that info from? As if I have entered what I have just written above it is 0. ***** |

I think i can answer both the questions in one. The sheet does no import minerals. it calculate it from the amount you have entered in the Blue fields I23-O23. So what you need is to Go to Item dadabase. you need to take the minerals from the Item database because that is the base value of minerals for each item. You can not use the mineral need from the Blueprint ingame, because that is not base minerals, that is the minerals you need with your skill, therefore the calculation is wrong in your case TehFedz.
So in short, you need to go to item database and find your Ship/item, and enter the minerals it shows there in the list. When that is done, then you can set the ME LvL of your BPo or BPc and then it will show the right amount of minerals in the Gry field I21-O21
after entering minerals from Item database, then you can change ME LvL to see wich lvl will be best to research to.
I hope this helps your both, if not, then you are velcome to contact me ingame for a chat. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

Dedaf,
I have been using your files for some time now and am really glad to have them available. Thanks.
Unfortunately I'm having problems getting the "Update Skill Data" to work. I input my ApiKey (manually since it won't let me paste to the cell without unmerging it), UserId, and Character Name and press the key and get a Run-time error '483' "Object doesn't support this property or method" and it asks for me to do one of 2 choices, End or Debug. Any idea why this is coming up or any help on how to input the info to get this function to work? I have an older version of office and d/l'd the version for below 2003 and get it for either version. To enter the skills manually you scroll down on the DATA sheet, (below alle the market information) there you will find some preentered skills, where all you need to do is enter the lvl.

If you have a version of Office older than 2003, then XML is not supported, so that might be why you get that error, so only choice is to manually enter the skill. ------- Ore & Ice Mining T1 & Capital & Rig Production POS Fueling and Reaction Minerals to Ore calculator |

Edited by: jantik on 08/06/2008 16:26:40 An additional note, and I think its something I am doing, if I change the location of where the XML is saved, when I do UPDATE/IMPORT, it gives me a nice error saying that "C:\T1_PRODUCTION_BACKUP" cannot be found, so it never imports. Am I missing something? ***** |
