I am kinda curious how it would be done? Since Eve does not have 'points' per say.
I guess half-isk gains? But then how would that work with mining?
Yea,, I know who cares... "This thread is fail".

i'm sure the ID card is actually china's version of a social security number. points being your livelyhood i'm guessing. i would have to say that if your points reach zero its game over and they put you in the military? discuss

My question is this,
If CCP had to setup a server that no one but the Chinese can play on, why in hell are they allowing the ones working for a sweatshop to access ours? Not to be stereotyping, but havenĘt most of the articles coming out talking about the poor overworked underpaid sweatshop gamer been about those folks in China? I have yet to see one showing any other nationality. So if we cannot pay to play on the special Chinese server, Why are they allowed to come to ours and farm ISK, DonĘt give me that they pay CCP crap, they would pay on their own server to play. If CCP banned any person with an ISP from China on Tranquility I bet the ISK sellers would dry up and disappear overnight. If CCP has to rely on their (the farmers) dollars to stay in business they are quite the hypocrite. DonĘt buy ISK for real money, but sure farm all you want and sell it, just donĘt buy it.

Guild Wars already has a similar thing. When you've been playing for an hour a message pops up saying so. After a couple of hours (I don't remember exactly) a message pops up asking you to take a break.

If they are in China, and these are the new rules, I bet it does.
If there has to be a front end that keeps you to 5 hours or less...
If you don't have the front end, I'm sure that China can block the ip to CCP. ------------------

I had an evil thought.
Your typical "large alliance" has many members, many ways to launder isk, and has a large inflow of isk from people paying them essentially for protection.
So there's a lot of isk - which they could turn around and sell, largely to newer players. So the isk becomes real money.
The newer players then grind more isk, and come to the level where they wander out into 0.0, and need to pay for the right to fly in certain areas, in isk.
Did I miss anything? ------------------

But what if there was this kind of server...that could somehow change someone's IP address as to hide their actual location or ISP...that would be very dangerous to your plan. Let us hope that such a thing never comes about.

Isn't communism wonderful! Where every need and want of the citizens of the state are taken care of by their government, if they want them to, or not!
Every time I read stories like this I think about 1984, or think of what North Korea looks like at night.

Tarm, you are correct that there are ways around an ip-ban, however, there is another measure that can be taken. MAC-ban, where instead of banning your ip address, they ban your MAC address, which is essentially the serial number to your router/network card, and cannot be (easily) faked.

hmm...
So, if 1 person weighs 75 kg (which should be a somewhat reasonable average), and there are tons of them, it means that there is at least 2000/75=26 of them.
Not that many tbh, but probably more than enough to cause problems.

The 5 hours rule is like this:
if you continue to play an account for more than 3 hours, your income and earning in game will be decreased to half; if continue to 5 hours, your income will be totally 0.
ok, there are 2 conditions coming with this rule:
first, that 'x hours' rule only applies to accounts, not ids. which means, if you register an account without ID card, you can play only 3 hours for full income, however, the numbers of accounts you can register is not limited. it is free to register accounts anyway.
second, this rull only applies to non-adults. if you register with your ID card (which is the prove that you are older than 16), then you are allowed to play as long as you want.
however, i still wanna mention that, not all isk farmers are chinese, but most of the isk buyers are not chinese. consider before you blame.
I'm Chinese.
