Well the server and domain name are pretty useless without the source code, how about a price for people that dont have the isk for the code and want to purchase everything other then your character outright for $?

No, because he is selling Griefwatch for $1,100 US and on top of that 75 Billion Isk.

The reason we're not releasing the source code at this time is because there are 2 investments into Griefwatch that have yet to be repaid. First and foremost is the ~70b ISK that Griefwatch customers have paid to us that they'll now be losing. I understand the desire to get the service for free, but I can't just give away something that people have paid for and yet to receive. Second is the cost of the server which has not made its money back. The initial investment in the server and hosting is about $1,900.00.
Put simply, open sourcing the code dumps the investment of the only 2 groups I care about down the drain: My customers and myself.

If it weren't for the close to ~70b ISK in pre-payments my customers have made, I'd absolutely consider this.

So why not just sell the server and screw the "customers"?
Comedy win if the guy that buys this released the source code and just wants a rather well priced server.

The reason you dont make more than 30$ /month is cause you only display adsense on frontpage. Am I wrong?
If you made it mandatory to display adsense on peoples killboards you could probably make more. Make them pay a little extra isk and then they lose the ads, win win.
Rather than seeing this site die... Now... if you want someone to administrate your site while you're gone and then return later you can contact me. Free bandwidth included in exchange for percentage of the isk income of course :) I have a hosting company (IRL) with the necessary equipment to run things flawlessly. We run all kinds of community sites for real cash when its outside of EVE so we've the experience to do it.

And how are you screwing your customers over if you give them the ability to have their own griefwatch at home?
As for your investments... well, it's you who are abandoning the project, right? You chose it.

Note, I understand that you want to protect customers, but 75bil would be a real hassle to raise. However, I might be interested in actually just taking this over.

What happened to the 70bn ISK you were pre-paid by customers to keep the board up? Not very professional of you to go and spend it all without guarenteeing their service would be up for so long. That being said, I wish you the best of luck getting your RL back on track. - Security Director Advanced Logistics |

There there, I merely meant that he invested the money well aware of that it might not work out. And afaik the server doesn't just disappear because he takes it offline for awhile.
What was invested in the killboard making is time, and if he's genuinely interested in providing a service to the EVE-community, and his customers - I think he should offer the source code to them.
