Iam in the middle og a 14 day trial account but, somehow, I managed to lose my ship before I got round to doing the ensurance tutorial and insuring the ship. What can I do to continue the game and enjoy it stuck in a station in a capsule? Can I make money in a station to buy aother ship? Sorry but my eyesight is no so good at the moment.

As above, it's an unfortunate thing, but if you undock from the station and redock, you'll be given the new player ship of your race. It's unfortunate that you were probably flying something much better, but at least you've learnt your lesson early instead of losing a 100mil battleship

Iam at a station , I have docked and undocked from it , but I have not been given a new ship. Do I have to ask for it?

are you sure there's nothing in the "ships" tab of the station other than your capsule? if so, that's very odd, file a petition with a gm

Thanks vert much, I didn't realize that that other ting in there was a ship and that it was mine! This game isn't really meant for half-blind peopel, but the grapics are just so great. Like the lamented Babylon 5, outer space is made to look visually stunning.

As mentioned above you get a free Rookieship when you dock at any station in your pod (unless you have other ships at that station.)
The rookieship is capable of mining, killing the weakest npc's, and carrying 120 m3 (for courier missions.)
When all else fails, you always have a rookieship and high security space to fall back on.
People think Eve is hardcore. Its made to FEEL hardcore, but in reality there are a number of mechanics to ease loss and make sure you can always bounce back.
You get default %40 insurance on every ship, without needing to insure it.

And if you, when docked, look in the "assets" tab, you will see if your free ship is in another station than the one you are docked in at.

Edited by: Baka Lakadaka on 24/07/2007 12:12:43 Your free Rookie Ship should always show up where you dock.
Also you should have the basic insurance....check your eve-mail and you will probably find that you've been paid 40% of the mineral value of your ship. This insurance is automatic, the insurance you buy increases it in increments up to 100% of the base (mineral) price. Cheers Baka ______________________ Have a Skill in training every second of every day and never buy a ship you can't afford to replace at least once. |
