GF Cruel
CI achieved a good amount of kills because they were well organized, good intel, and always had backup nearby. A lot of us in the bwf area like to fight in small gangs and got pounded on this time. However, Roadkill did have our own campain going not in geminate and each time we would swing our fleet back to geminate one of three things would happen 1) no targets, 2) spy would report when we about to strike and they would back off and 3) lag.. my gosh lag. Lost my carrier (in the fight when USN lost his too) I was so lagged I did manage to get the armor rep on but nothing else would work.. hardners, fighters, targeting, nos, shield transporters..
Oh well, cya'll around sometime.

good fun joe. to all the nah sayers the stats are real. joe also failed to mention they killed a pos in akora. id like to mentionm to all to joe failed was id say 75+% of those killes were from bwf and empire areas. the few times they got the kills in tde area were well timed and sprung. also note as cow found out the desynchs and time zones affect alot of these fights to as well as fleet sizes. we b rought it all to them maybe twice all campaign.
Good luck joe and whos the next target.

Great banner.
Can't say I got a chance to cross swords with any of ya .. been offline a lot. And dont spend a whole lot of time in BWF. But wish I could have.
Great stats.
And great fights from what I heard.
Good luck to your next foes :)
edit: think I lost an absolution actually.. not sure if that was before CI entered tho.

Good Job CI you not only had a great spy network going on you also knew when to fight and when not to fight.Your job was to cost us time and money and you did your job fly safe and kill see you ingame.
Pass on some tips to your smack talking friends so they learn a few things before posting junk threads. I hop you like your station up north.

I came, I desynched, I went fishing. I believe I fired 4 out of 5 launchers total in this war so as you all can see, I pwned all.
But from what I heard it was GF and HF all over from both sides when the servers allowed it so cheers and we'll see you...some place else. \o/

Originally by: GitanEvil How can you get an effiency that high, and not take any of there systems.
CI is very heavy on Euro players. SmashKill is very heavy on US players. Thus, whenever we attack a POS of theirs, they (naturally) adjust the Strontium levels so that it comes out of reinforced in their prime time, which is about 5am for most CI players.
The five CI people who are actually awake at this time find it a bit hard to cope with the defending 100-man SmashKill fleet...
Just the nature of the game, and the nature of time zones. (Could someone stop the Earth please, I want to get off.)
Apart from that, I've had some fun, some boredom, ganked some, been ganked some, fought the lag monster, cursed ebil stab/nano-*****s, drawn a sigh of relief as I've MWDed through a camped gate, and just generally enjoyed PvP such as it is in EVE.
I'd like to make a special mention of one incident though.
I'm off running lvl 2 missions (Was working 12 hours a day, so didn't have time for PvP for a few days, and I needed the standings...), when Mad Gaz asks casually in Alliance chat if anyone's near Jita. As it happens, I'm 9J away, on my way to pick up a new module for my Wolf. He says it's too far away, he has a Raven scrambled in Jita. In a Punisher! A few minutes later, I've picked up my module, and he's still fighting. I decide to head that way, obviously this is one drawn out fight.
Ten minutes(!) after Mad's initial call for backup, I get there. He has the Raven down to 25% shields, and has cleverly decided to let his armor drop a bit so the Raven will think it's winning.
With my gank fitted Wolf for extra firepower, the Raven quickly bites the dust, though it was an anxious few seconds as my guns were reloading, was afraid he'd deaggress and jump through the gate.
Turns out it was an alt or something, and from the looks of it just slapping some random loot onto the ship to move it to somewhere else. From a PvP perspective, no great feat at all, but it gave us all a good laugh.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling now.
Kudos to all involved, friends and foes alike.

3 weeks. You can find the details on our killboard. See the resources thread. Odd you can link indirectly but not direct
To be fair to SmashKill, there were a lot of ganks, but we did have some large engagements with capitals, and yes of course we remote repped
Good fun guys

GF CI.
Only a few occasions did I become involved and those occasions were pretty enjoyable.
Your spy network and scouting seemed instrumental to your success. You knew when to fight and when to withdraw / run. I didn't quite follow the time and iskies used hitting stations...? I agree it was bothersome to some degree though IMO had a reverse effect as it unified corps / alliances to a stronger team effort. Seems it is only time for us ~ yet for you it was time and iskies... (Ammo, etc)? Mind sharing what you achieved or intended to achieve by doing such? must have been boring (as it was repairing) simply shooting station services...
Again GF. til another day and cool banner I'm paper, your rock - eh... hmmm NERF THE DAMN SCISSORS! |

Hey, it was fun. Without a doubt you guys are good as small gang combat. I do wonder at "effective" though. If your goal was just some PEW! PEW! then good on ya. But I can't see that you accomplished anything. Sounds a lot like "declare victory and leave!"

Edited by: Hohne on 25/07/2007 15:47:00 CI also dropped in when we were sieging someone else's POS, but to their credit, it was probably the furtherest away any of them have been from a friendly station in a long time. (and 2+ cyno jumps for their caps) And they got a dread for it too.
Almost lost a ship to you guys this time... Out sieging a POS and someone sights your Mom, so of course, the first response is take a fleet of POS siege fitted BS's to kill it... Of course magically it dissapears well before we run into your scouts... and in comes a gang composed of everyone that's shot at us in the last 3 months :o TS fails, Eve Desyncs, and I wind up bubbled in a poorly tanked raven ... but cloak (hey I was fitted for POS sieging - toilet breaks you know) .. and wait out the 30mins you guys take to leave the 3 of us in system (watching the one guy sit there being shot for the whole time even though he 'leaves local' in about 5 min :o..)
Geminate is on a really really crappy node :o
Efficiency is always misleading even without rookie ship kills ;) Because it's pretty easy to be efficient if you're only out and about when looking to kill. But when you're being paid not losing stuff is generally important eh ? ;)
And yes, the first response to being attacked is for us to open up a 2nd front against someone else :p Sometimes I'm pretty sure we're suicidal. (And anyone in a gang with God's Army will be even more sure).
Anyway joe, some of your guys seem to be hanging around on their own time? But they're just cloaked and afk.. :p
Also, get a better killboard.. that one is abit of a nightmare to navigate.
Good fight though, you guys know what you're doing :)

They were contracted afaik... so... They were never going to acomplish anything but a nice efficiency rating and a paycheck....

Just to clarify, we calculate efficiency as (ISK worth of hostile ships destroyed) / (total ISK worth of all ships destroyed). So calculating efficiency with or without rookie ships or shuttles doesn't make much difference.
