Is anyone currently running EveHQ on Linux (most likely through wine)? If so how did you get it to run?
OS + wine + winetricks version: Arch Linux 3.0-ARCH wine-1.3.36-310-gaba9ddc winetricks 20111115
I didn't encounter any true issues when I installed the following through winetricks: dotnet35 jet40 mdac28 gdiplus wininet
When I installed EveHQ I didn't get any erros, running EveHQ didn't work as I was missing MS SQL v4.0 CE. So I downloaded that and tried to install it through wine, but that always seems to fail and I can't find anywhere how to get it to install.
This is the output I am getting (I snipped out duplicate entries as much as possible) when I try to install MS SQL v4.0 CE:
fixme:heap:HeapSetInformation (nil) 1 (nil) 0 fixme:process:SetProcessDEPPolicy (3): stub fixme:clusapi:OpenCluster ((null)) stub! fixme:clusapi:ClusterOpenEnum (0xdeadbeef, 4) stub! fixme:clusapi:ClusterEnum (0xdeadbeef, 0, 0x33f860, 0x129350, 261) stub! fixme:clusapi:ClusterCloseEnum (0xdeadbeef) stub! fixme:clusapi:CloseCluster (0xdeadbeef) stub! fixme:advapi:DecryptFileW L"C:\\aabad0bb8519d55d6b62e8\\" 00000000 fixme:console:AttachConsole stub 0 fixme:storage:create_storagefile Storage share mode not implemented. fixme:sxs:cache_QueryAssemblyInfo 0x16c2a0, 0x00000002, L"Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version=\"9.0.30729.4148\",publicKeyToken=\"1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b\",processorArchitecture=\"x86\",type=\"win32\"", 0x33f858 fixme:sxs:cache_QueryAssemblyInfo 0x16c2a0, 0x00000002, L"policy.9.0.Microsoft.VC90.CRT,version=\"9.0.30729.4148\",publicKeyToken=\"1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b\",processorArchitecture=\"x86\",type=\"win32-policy\"", 0x33f858 err:richedit:ReadColorTbl malformed entry err:richedit:ReadStyleSheet skipping optional destination fixme:msi:msi_dialog_handle_event Unknown progress message 3 fixme:msxml:domdoc_get_parseError (0x9300fc)->(0x90e648): creating a dummy parseError fixme:msxml:parseError_get_filepos (0x929670)->(0x90e618) err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"InstallFinalize" returned 1603 err:msi:ITERATE_Actions Execution halted, action L"ExecuteAction" returned 1603
Does anyone have an idea how to get EveHQ to run? |

I'd also like to know if there's a solution to this, or if there's an alternative asset management tool anyone could recommend.
Any thoughts appreciated. |

I also use pyfa and GtkEveMon, but I don't use jEveAssets. EveHQ seems to be far more powerfull than jEveAssets as it has quite some tools for manufacturing, determining which items to process, PI, route planner, ....
It pretty much combines most tools together in 1 program, but unfortunately it requires some M$ SQL software which I haven't been able to get to run on wine yet. |

Thanks for the suggestions. jEveAssets looks good, since I don't have the manufacturing or PI requirements. I haven't been successful in getting it to run yet, but I'll keep plugging at it.
I also use pyfa for fittings. |

Now successfully running jEveAssets, and it's absolutely what I was hoping for. Thoroughly recommended. |
