I didn't know where to put this post so i put it in here , i'm sorry if I post on wrong forum .
We have one new member with standing +9.37 with Zainou . He joined two days ago .
I'm interested if he start again to play missions for Zainou for couple of days ( 3-4 days ) can he boost ours corp standing that everybody in corp can have jump clones ?

members with 0 standing don't count towards corp standing, so if no one else has any Zainou standing, the corp should get enough for jumpclones. if their standing is nonzero, then it gets averaged and you won't get jumpclones unless everyone with nonzero standing grinds a lot of missions.

Edited by: FaithMan on 01/08/2007 21:17:07 I deleted \CCP\EVE\Cache\MachoNet to see new corp standings .
No one of corp members don't have standings with Zainou .
But i don't see Zainou in corp standings . He didn't play mission for Zainou for time that he is in our corp . Does he must to do couple of days missions that standing start to exist and boost in corp standings tab ?
Thanks in advance for answer , FaithMan

Edited by: Angellyne on 01/08/2007 21:29:37 Yes, my experience is that he has to run a mission (get his standing to change a little) and then corp standing should update with the next downtime.
I ran into the same thing not long ago: corp showed no standing at all with an NPC corp, and I ran a few missions to work for jump clones. The next day the NPC corp did appear in corp standings, but when I clicked "Show Compositions" I saw a few other corp members with low standing. Their standing hadn't changed since joining our corp, so corp standing had never adjusted.
Kind of annoying, doesn't make sense, but that's how it seems to work.

this is somewhat abusable by getting someone with high standings to join your corp, do a mission to make the corp standing update to the new higher average, and then they can leave and the corp standing will never change until another member does missions for that corp.
my old corp has 8+ standing to several corps (CN, Brutor, some r&d corp) from old members who left when it disbanded and I turned it into a one-man corp.

That's true, and I never really thought about that.
The only hitch would be the strange way corp standing adjusts to where it should be. Once we got our "real" average (total of all players' standing divided by number of players) where it was supposed to be, the corp standing took over 2 weeks to catch up.
Seems like some days it doesn't adjust even if you do a mission, other days it will adjust even if you don't do a mission. A friend petitioned this once but got strange and conflicting answers. You have to do a mission between downtimes; no, you have to do a storyline mission; no you just have to wait.
Basically, we did all the above. Even after getting the standing we needed, went back and kick-started the corp standing with another mission if it didn't seem to be rising. And did storylines too, just in case.
Quantum Physics may be more clearly understood than Eve Corp Standing Computation.

so if a single member has high standing with an NPC and therefore the whole corp gets that high standing... does that mean all members suddenly have access to level 4 agents of that NPC corp?
and then after a few missions, they get added to the average and suddenly lose access to those agents the next day?
if so... well that's pretty messed up!
~~~~ ~~~~ ~~~~ Take away the risk and it would make flying around in space utterly pointless.
Take away the flying around part and you make EVE into a space themed spreadsheet application. |
I ask my member , with high standing , to do some missions now with Zainou and i will ask him if he is available to do some before and after downtime .
Jennai yeah i agree with you it's abusable :) .
We have luck that this player join our corp because our corp not to make just jump clones.
I hope that we will succed with standings and get jump clones .
Yeah Alora it's pretty messed up lol
Once again thanks for yours answers :) .
Alora Venoda: No, your corp's standing with an NPC corp doesn't give every member that effective standing. The members still have to get their own effective standings high enough to run missions.
But you're right on the second part. If you have no personal standing, but the corp average is over 8, you could run a single level 1 mission and see the corp standing drop down to 5-6 the next day.
