That's a fight to remember. Lost two ships, one of which had lived for almost a year. Too bad about the MS, but MAN was that a great fight!
Grats to AAA/IAC, and gf to all involved.

With a battleship, if you get desynced, big deal, you lose a battleship.
With a carrier, if you get desynced, big deal, its just a carrier.
With a mothership or titan, if you get desynced, you lose 50-100 billion.
And so, most alliances don't even bother fielding them anymore because if you get a desync, you're dead, plain and simple, and you can't do anything about it.
I wish that CCP would reimburse these losses on both sides until its fixed, but I don't see reimbursement happening, and I don't see it being fixed either.
why you bother you lost your own even before you got it....at least it wasnt desynced :P
You know I never thought anyone would believe it when I intentionally spread a false rumor about the loss of a mothership I never had.

Hey why don't you buy more shares in ISS? I hear they are BOOMING right now. Secondly, Alliances still field titans and MoM's often, BoB does directly use its Titan against us now, although less often then before Rev 2 they have directly used them, stayed in the fight and have gotten out without much difficulty or set pretty good bait traps to clear the way.
To say no one uses super-caps anymore is silly, they indeed do use them but very carefully, however MC did it stupidly and this is the end result. If you field a MoM or Titan you commit yourself and commit yourself knowing that there probobly will be a lot of lag and it may in the end bite you in the ass. So as soon as you cyno that super-cap to a hostile/contested area you clearly commit yourself and bear the consequences of lag doing so. Which is why CCP does not reimburse super-caps under any way, shape or form and they should continue not to.

That is exactly the question I would ask myself if I ended in a gang with Axiom Empire
Don't you have another region to lose, another baby Nyx to fail to defend, and another alliance to abandon in its time of need?

correction, your gang topped out at 70, dropped to 60 after a bit, and dropped further I guess.
Our gang topped at around 100, I think AAA had like 60 ? 70 ?

well, to bring in clearness abouit the kill, there was no desync at all, we stayed up at 3 ms bubbled, but 2 include seleene got away, but not they initiated warp, cause only the fact they were llucky and the dictor bubbles were runnin out or placed on another ships that were called to bubble up in more priority, the aeon was doomed as it was warpin in to fight as soon we saw it on overview, mc support was totally chicken like acting and got decimated 1 by 1 in seconds, mothers were stranded helpless on gate then, as they took a last effort to safe the moms the inwarpin mc fix fleet was able to withstand aaa fire for about 20 seconds in order to warp or get busted (no one made it to warp out), unforntunately some bubbles dropped too far or misplaced and the other moms made it to hit warp before new bubble was online...
but to say is: mc u brought it on a 21 man support fleet with 3 moms, it was a very nice fight, u showed up as a nice opponent to fight with, more of it plz, even respect to fix who managed to bring some t1 cruisers in the field to fight with, i think we had all great fun and lookin forward to get more pew pew on the grounds of battle, thanks u for the fish..
and ur sedith made had absolutely no desync, as u were reporting it he was targeting me and sendin me some fighters into warp and killed me after 3 warp aways, my congrats to chase a hac while hitted by some bs Your signature exceeds the maximum allowed filesize of 24000 bytes -Sahwoolo Etoophie ([email protected]) |

Wow, thats alot of wrecks around the aeon's. That had to have contributed to the lag and eventual desynch. Wouldn't allowing Smartbombs to destroy wrecks help alleviate some of the problem?

They promise it being fixed, but it isn't fixed. And most of all, desync is worst with larger ships because desync is primarily caused by being bumped out of warp while the client not recognizing it as such; and obviously a lot of bumping goes on with motherships.
It still isn't fixed, I agree there, but it sure isn't related to bumping or ship size, it happend to a lot of people in the grid. Sure the MS kill is the one most mentionable, but even me (In a cruiser sized ship, and not getting bumped by anything) got desynced at some point. I didn't warp, just couldn't see anything happening, FPS actually went up a bit, but everything was sitting at one point in space, could rotate camera fine, but nothing moved anymore... Desync is bad and it should be fixed, couldn't agree more. But saying that it only happens to big ships, and only on the side that warps away is just wrong, and absolutely not true.

Incorrect. At the time of the kill there was 217 in local. We had 71 in gang at the time and AAA had 20+ ships. We had a few people in there that were not in gang but that was balanced by the fact that some of the gang were still on the way to the fight with replacement ships.
I have screenshots that verify this. Go me.
The kill was legit as far as I was concerned. Sedith was surrounded by bubbles the whole time and we had nossing ships on him and bumping ships. Someone said he was smartbombing away too I believe. Frankly we were wondering how Seleene managed to get out.
Anyway congrats IAC. Through BEER we shall triumpth. Guess our morale wasn't that badly hurt after all :)

Nice kill.
MC killed lots of ships in the past while they were completely lagged out or desynced. It seems only okay that they now recieve some of their own medicine. Maybe, just maybe, they re-evalute how many kills were due to their undoubtly elite pvp skills and how many to lag?
Besides that, if there wouldn't has been lag then ALL the motherships would have been killed, so they should be happy that only one mothership got killed.

While I would expect someone to say this, it's pretty funny that it comes from a BoB member. I'm pretty sure you guys proved the easiest way to kill a supercap is while the pilot is logged off long, long ago.
In fact, there's even monuments to that tactic. Funny that the ones lost in combat don't seem to get them though.
