Edited by: Aselus on 01/08/2007 21:57:14 So I was browsing my account settings as of late and noticed a feature in the account settings that allows us to rotate portraits(yes i hadn't noticed it before... sue me). After reading the faq (and attempting cause it never hurts..even though it said i couldn't) I came back to a sad fact i'd been complaining about since the release of the bloodlines update.
I am still mad that being a player that started playing more then a year before the update(therefore having to give up literaly a YEAR of training... well two years now) there is no way for me to transfer myself to the new cooler looking bloodlines (khanid portraits > amarr imho)... well aside from the MUCH better stats that the Khanid get (but i've given up on trying to ask for that, as there's been so many NOs in my past it hurts).
So here's a question? How's about giving us the ability to transfer into one of the newer (they're not so new i guess anymore) bloodlines at least as portraits if you won't give us the ability to transfer fully(still grumble)... What do the rest of you guys think?... Would it ruin the game that much?

You can get those 500k SP, but you have to get them in a world where everyone else already has ten million more than you do. Vets whine harder than newbies.
Portrait swapping sounds okay to me. Race has pretty much nothing to do with the game, except for roleplay, so I don't see any reason not to be able to swap out your eye color/bloodline/race/gender with the same ease. If I had it to do over again, I'd give Reggie a nightlight in the cargo container he calls home. What was I thinking?

yah... Maybee it's just a personal thing, but I think that the new bloodline portraits are nice, and it wouldn't hurt anyone to let vets switch out portraits...
Please /sign this if you agree with me about the portraits thing...
Thanks much!

What is the point of having races and bloodlines if there is no real difference between them?
I have one of the older bloodlines and the difference wouldn't be that great with different attributes, taking everthing in to consideration. Once you have implants, the difference is minor, unless you made real bad choices with your optional attribute points.
No reason to blur the lines between the bloodlines, just because they look cooler or whatever.
I think it should stay as it is.

In real life, there are people not happy with their race and "bloodline" too. Like Euros who like manga so much they would like to be japaneese or love hip-hop so much they'd like to be africans, or vice versa.
So its realistic :)

in real life there's plastic surgery ;-).... ....
on a serious note, in real life we didn't have an option between three things at the beginning, nor are we limited to our clothing options by our bloodline. Just because i'm Russian doesn't mean i only wear traditional Russian garb... I can just as easily put on a kimono (to address your manga concern).
In eve on the other hand there are 4~6pieces of clothing per race(with slight color variations), + we get to decide what we are at the beginning. So speaking as a player I consider it unfair that just because some of us started playing earlier that we should be skewed out of these.
I already think it's poor that the stats options for some of the new bloodlines are FAR more useful then the ones we where given (i mean honestly... what in the name of the gods is all my willpower for? the ~four skills that use it?). But I do think that it should be considered on some level of benefit for vets to be able to utilize appearance features added later on(especially considering how already limiting this game is towards them).
