Aha! It's your fault! You're being punished for it and the rest of us has to suffer as well!
How about addressing some questions people posted here? I'm all up for entertainment aspects of forum postings, but an informative aspect has its benefits too.
And the posts I made saying what happened, and then explaining the startup issues and telling everyone it's starting up etc isn't doing just that?
Only it's not really starting up... It's just SAYING it's starting up, it's not actually for real starting up.

I was talking about the reimbursement/repayment questions actually. I think we're all pretty familiar with the downtime hiccups by now and whilst a "need another restart" posting is fine, I'd much rather hear about what is being done on this issues in the long run. What is CCP's policy on failed service delivery? Is it something players have to deal with or can we expect a certain service level and penalities for CCP if they are not met and so on?
They are planning to restart the server in the long run also What do you want? a tim tam whenever the server dies? be reasonable champ, these things happen.

To be quite honest, the decision to reimburse for downtimes is up to people who are higher in the CCP food chain than I am. In the past we have only reimbursed for longer server outages, and not for scheduled downtimes including longer downtimes for upgrades. I don't believe the downtime due to this has been anywhere near long enough to warrant some reimbursement, it's simply not mlong enough.

I understand someone left some donuts laying about and the hamsters found them. After pigging out, the hamsters now look more like elephants and can no longer use their wheels.

In CCP's defence, they used to reimburse regularly - However, that was when the player base was under 5k or so. So when reimbursing, it cost alot less. And lets face it, if ccp were to give you that option, would you prefer your 15p or whatever it might be, or would you prefer the bugs to be fixed, etc?

Yes, they do happen and CCP is not the only company that has such problems, but here is what from a business perspective usually happens at other companies:
1) You promise that it will be better (i.e. 9x% guaranteed uptime) and accept penalties if you fail to deliver 2) You explain that this is the status quo and no better solution is in the works, so you accept to deliver the current (sub-optimal service for less money 3) You say: "hey, relax, its starting up" a few too many times and customers run to the competition, which ultimately removes you from the market
I could live with 1) or 2), but then CCP would have to explain what their long-term solution to this situation is or lower the costs for us players to a certain degree to compensate for the sup-optimal performance we experience every week.

Some information about the startup issues, first try we lost nodes which caused an infinite loop, meaning we had to restart. Second try we lost a lot of nodes, we could have gotten Tranquility up, but decided to restart to get more nodes. So we're on restart 3 now.

I fully understand EVE server problems. It's unique and ever developing piece of software. But simply don't understand how commercial database server can fail every few days, even it is made by Microsoft. Do CCP have some idea what causes problems? Hardware?
And I'm curious about startup. Does cluster startup, count living nodes and distribute solar systems between live nodes? Isn't better to divide solar system between all nodes (minus some hotspares) and if some nodes fail to start simply use hotspare or try restart only node not whole cluster?

Ok, it looks like the last startup worked, and with enough nodes, so Tranquility should be up now and open for business.

And now all we have to do is wait till one of the 3 surviving nodes finishes processing Jita, so it can maybe spend one or two cycles serving my current starsystem...

I`m curious, how many nodes are there in total and how many working nodes are classed as a working stable game.
Also what causes a node to refuse to load up ?
