I've heard about doing Module trading and making a lot of money for every trip and takes a lot of money to be able to start trading it, but can't find out any more than that.
I have only found guides for starting out trading with npc's no guides for anything else after that, anyone know any sites or could give more info on the subject?

I don't know of any guides, I suspect people don't want to make it too clear for fear of losing business. Also, it's more complex than NPC trading, there is a lot more to take into account since it's not a case of simply matching up buy and sell orders.
Basicaly you want to setup some buy orders for an item at a lower price than you think you can sell that item. Once you have some (how much depends on you, the item, your ship, etc, etc) you take it to where you can sell it and put up a sell order. Viola, you make some money.
There are several people who offer trading 'classes' so I suggest you contact one of them if you feel you need more guidance but essentially it comes down to spending a fair amount of time doing some homework before you can really start raking it in. If you use your head,it will pay off though.
Good luck

Edited by: Luckye on 06/08/2007 08:43:12 Thanx for you response, i can understand people don't wanna lose buisiness.
Problem i'm having tho is there is so many modules, hard to know wich one will be a good module to look into for a while, and you can't get mark prices of everywhere so i'll hafta travel through the regions doing price checks on a lot of modules
Guess i should quit being lazy and get to doing some traveling heh.
I asked someone about transporting illegal items, he said you would need a lot of implants to resist concord scanners and thats about all the info i got on that, he wasn't a trader so he wasn't up on that subject.
basically i'm making this post cause the npc trading is boring and i'm looking to move to player trading.
edit: fixed first sentance.

Well just think what modules are most popular, or remember some expensive ones you got from missions and sold on market. Look at LP stores - people get items and then go to market to sell them.
Every item sold to buy order is potentional profit for trader, becouse buy order price is alwys lower than sell order price (well not always, but usually :P).
Also, you don't have to move stuff, you can often make nice profits just by using buy/sell orders within same region.
You mentioned implants (btw smuggling needs cloak and very fast warping/jumping afaik), look on them, they are very common LP store commodity. With 1 m2 size they are also ideal for roaming trader.

Know what people around you are using in missions & mining. If you're just starting out look at expendable goods (ammo, probes, drones).

You really just have to figure out which items to buy/sell on your own. If someone else tells you what to trade I promise it will not be a very good market. No one will give up their markets that are profitable.
If you have absolutely no clue where to start then you prob aren't ready to start trading modules yet. You need more time running missions until you understand buying items you need for level 3/4 missions and selling items you get from them.

Part of the key is knowing why people buy and sell modules.
Some people sell modules because they have built them and want profit. Not the best trading stock, unless you want to haul them to somewhere where there is no local supply.
Some people sell modules because they want to turn their npc drops into cash. This is a fantastic buy opertunity. Consider what sort of things the local npc's drop (and equally what they dont drop), and consider buying to melt, or buying to ship to somewhere where such modules dont drop.
Why people buy modules and what modules people buy is a similar matter; run missions or do pvp to find out what people need (or ask those that do), and supply it, especially in areas where it isnt already supplied.

simple guide to module trading..
1. dock at jita 4/4 2. open market 3. select any module. 4. compare jita price to any station any jumps out. 5. buy said module at other station. 6. bring to jita 4/4 7. sell at inflated price lower than that already at jita 4/4

Why bother docking or even entering the system if you can check Jita prices from anywhere in The Forge region? One of the key aspects to making isk is not wasting time, and that doesn't just apply to trading

In particular, have a read of Sun Win's excellent trading guide. That should really help with getting you started on module trading.
