Just one question: when do the funny parts come on? Please help with a university research project by taking this simple survey on color and emotion.

When old family guy episodes come on. Adult swim still plays that right? It's been a while.
American Dad also has it's moments. |

Yeah. It seems I tune in the hopes of catching "a moment" but for the most part it's just failure.
Seems there are conflicting ideas on just what "adult humor" is these days. They have the "adult" part covered, and they even get that wrong...but where's the "humor" part? Please help with a university research project by taking this simple survey on color and emotion.

It has seriously fallen over the years. Tho to be honest its best years were when "Inuyasha" was its main deal. Don't even deny that you would watch that show atleast occasionally.
Robot Chicken is about the only show worth anything on there these days. |

I would watch "Inuyasha" all day long on Adult Swim as long as they have Ghost in The Shell, American Dad, Futurama, Family Guy, and Courage The Cowardly Dog.
Haven't watched Robot Chicken in a while as I'm boycotting Adult Swim because as of late, they have been in a downward spiral. Surrender is still your slightly less painful option. |

Tim and Eric was ******* ********. Family Guy and American Dad have their moments every once in a while, if it's a new one or one that I haven't seen in a really long time. Robot Chick.n is great, The Boondocks (when it's on) is great, and Metalocalypse starts up again in April I think. |

I knew I was missing an important show thinking back upon those days.
You had that, Big O, Inuyasha, etc... And if I remember it was all weekday long. How many would have seen those shows if they werent aired there?
Sadly it is just CNs continued move away from things that people just want to watch. You have to have an expensive premium cable/sat package to watch CN's classics channel (You know the stuff that if I had young kids I would want them watching such as Jetsons/Yogi Bear/Flintstones)
I am holding a little bit of hope tho. Google is apparently considering the feasibility of offering TV over it's planned gigabit ISP. They may be in a position to make history as the first national company to offer channels ala carte or the channels we want.
Maybe in the future that will give CN the option of pushing Adult Swim into its own channel and giving it room to do more. |

Interesting fact, there is a newly uploaded video of some of the toonami promo stuff on the CN site. Granted the newest thing is sort of the history of toonami but has almost entirely live action stuff in it. Maybe toonami lives on in the hearts of some of the dedicated cubical minions, maybe the management isnt creative enough to come up with a new IP.

Venture bros, metal, squidbillies (Though having traveled to Georgia, and knowing red necks makes it way funnier). Did I already mention venture bros? |

Adult Swim funny? Not for many years, it's gone to hell in a hand basket. Don't even bother watching anymore. Can find much better entertainment online, Hulu for example. Here sanity, nice sanity.....*THWOOK* Got the bastard |

I miss Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, and Sealab 2021.
Venture Brothers is good (but if you're new, then you really need to watch it from the first season to catch all the humor and plots.) Robot Chicken still has its moments. "Darkest Sketch Ever" is my favorite.
You can tell me what is and isn't true when you pry the tinfoil from my cold, lifeless head.
