Or, more likely, that foreign powers know they cannot challenge it militarily and hope to weaken it by inciting false dissent. The viewpoint that the Brothers of Freedom are (or, more accurately, were) seeking legitimate reform is nanve in the extreme.

Whether they're seeking "legitimate" reform is largely irrelevant in my eyes - one could make the distinction that rebellious Minmatar slaves in Amarr space aren't seeking legitimate reform, but subjugating them with force doesn't make the current regieme any less morally bankrupt. But... any atrocity the Caldari could possibly commit pales in comparison to what are frankly humanitarian disasters already inflicted deliberately by the Amarrians, so unless your beloved State suddenly starts a fascistic genocidal rampage against an entire bloodline, you won't see MXD military presence in your space. ----- Mixed Metaphor is now recruiting! I have traveled through the four empires of this cluster, living, for a time, within the borders of each one, and while some of my activities are... shall we say, contradictory, to my standing with each one, I have always cared for the Federation. Were it not for my current engagements and responsibilities, yours is a corporation which I would look at joining.
As it is, I hope that your endeavors prove successful, and that the Federation stands against all who would oppose it.

Nachson - Very much appreciated. I hope that I will one day have the honour of standing shoulder-to-shoulder with you and your compatriots in EM. Long may the alliance between the Federation and the Republic continue.
Vendrin - Your sentiments are likewise appreciated. I hope that someday we of the Federation and you of the State can bury our respective hatchets and live in a true peace. ----- Mixed Metaphor is now recruiting! Contact me for details. |

First, I too hope for the day that the Federation and the State can bury the hatchet. I know a few Amarrian skulls they could bury it in...
Second, I too look forward to the day that we will fight side by side. Just to warn you, I occasionally make jokes at the Federal Navy's expense. ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

As do we, though given the undeniable might of the forced arrayed against the cause of freedom, I fear that the day you speak of will not come in our lifetimes. But the struggle goes on, as it must so long as any people seeks to deprive another people of the most fundamental of human needs, as have the Amarrians against all who have come in contact with them. And it's heartening to see new friends joining the cause for freedom.
I hope that we will have many opportunities to work together toward our common goal.

I encourage you to support the ideals of "democracy and freedom" by severing any nationalist loyalty to the Federation.
Lip service to treasured values is not the same as supporting and endeavoring to make those values a reality. I charge the Gallente Federation with practicing such lip service while they behave like tin-pot dictators.
While I support Star Fraction's current actions against Amarrian interests, I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this point. I see the Federation and her allies in a positive light, and you don't - and that's fine. I choose to be part of the Federation, and you do not. That's also fine. But I'm not going to take up your philosophies. I hope you'll recognise my right, as a human in charge of my own destiny, to lay my loyalties with the Federation.
Rights are illusions and propaganda lies thrown out by lobbyists interested in appealing to base wants of people. Everyone wants to feel what they do is guaranteed and "right." Make no illusion, nothing is guaranteed , and the guaranteed the Federation would give you are very hollow as the poor fall through the *****s of the marble floors of the elite.
I suppose it will be when you find out how it fails you only then you might question it. So as you were half right you are in charge of your own destiny, just that believing in a right takes some of that away.
OMG you braiwashed Kovid . You bastards
