Currently motherships and titans cannot be docked, yet there is a growing market for these very expensive ships. So basically the game needs a method for secure trade of them. This thread is about thoughts on how this should be done, or if it should be done at all.
My opinion is that there should be a trade interface for these ships on lowsec npc stations. People in range would open a window, setup a contract, and on completion they would find themselves in a pod inside the station. The supercap would remain outside, visible, but locked down so it could not be boarded. That way people could accept the contract and occupy it securely. This would work for a fitted or unfitted ship.

If trade windows were to exist out of station many problems might be solved. Some new ones might come up but docking should fix those.

imo the current way of trades going down based upon trust - gives a nice dimension to the game, it's almost like the "you're not 100% safe in 1.0" thing.
Plus, having it this way makes 3rd parties useful.

Why is there a need?
They are already too easy to aquire, why make it even more easily?
If you are a single person with lots of isk, well, then you need to think a bit how you can get it. Those ships were never ment for single people, especially not for pirates in low sec who can camp gates free of all worries. Those ships were ment to belong to the biggest alliances only and they don't need any third party trading.
But _if_ you want to buy or to sell and you don't know how to do it, use a trustworthy third party - there are several in game.
I think the supercap business doesn't need to become even easier!

There is a need even between alliance members, as the sheer cost of these things make them them very scammable. Everyone has their price, as someone said.
As for the solo player issue, recent nerfs and events have shown that these things are perfectly killable, so any "solo" ms or titan pilot would automatically be a target for merc corps and alliances alike. Sure, some people would get killed by him but eventually he would probably be taken down. So that is a non issue with current eve demographics imo.
Plus depending on how this this is implemented there is still a possibility of low sec titan kills if they are docked and waiting for trading, so its not like im suggesting there will be a mothership tied to every station. I'm betting most of the people against this idea probably fly in or with these ships allready, and as such have a biased opinion.

This won't happen, cause ccp wants to give scammers a scam-of-a-lifetime chance.
