My corp had an average rating of 2.22 with the NPC corp Carthum Congolomerates. So I kicked the weakest links out of the corp so that only one corp member has standing with Carthum.
When I click "Show Compositions", the one member has a rating of 7.43 (Great) but the corp standing is only 2.22 and hasn't decayed upwards AT ALL in over 2 weeks.
Similarly, CCP hasn't responded to my week-old petition either. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to run an important mission to jump-start the standings again, just because you got rid of member(s) that are the lowest and left the highest standing character in, you still need to jump-start the adjustments, and wait a few days after the Important/Storyline mission for them to climb up.
Hope it helps.

Also, don't bed too much on CCP helping with this, I have had a petition in, twice for that issue, asking them to create a L1 Important/Storyline Mission for my other character and the CEO, and they never did. So, while I was running missions to get the corp. standings up, I finally did the 16, and got the important one, and then just closed the petition, disgusted.

Run a mission or two for Carthum. Standing changes need to be "kick started." At least that's what I was told, and it worked 6 months ago. Good luck!

There is also a long standing bug where the standings cached by the client are not updated properly. Delete the cache folder and the client will re-download your corp's standings.

OK, I ran two L4 missions for the NPC corp in question and now my corp's standings with that corp have "decayed" from 2.22 to 3.55. (As the poster above mentioned, the cache still shows 2.22 on NPC corp info screen, but when I clicked "Show Compositions" it gives me the 3.55 number.)
To be clear, I have been offered an important Storyline mission but have not even accepted it, let alone completed it. So it appears that the solution to this problem is to complete ANY 1-2 missions for the NPC corp to "jump start" the standings' "decay".

In the English language, perhaps not. However, that's the word CCP chose when writing this dialogue box. Check it out.
