Edited by: qBot on 21/08/2007 16:18:27 Hello users and administrators Eve-online.
First i should thank CPP for an opportunity to participate in so much the fine world as eve, thanks you for the fascinating world.
I have a little question: What the administration thinks to start the second game server eve-online for is new arriving players? In fact now on the basic server already many strong players and to compete with them to beginners there is no opportunity, has almost died solo PvP, it is a lot of opportunities and desires have lost sense. I think many new players will support me in it, the new server only will involve potential users to start to create one more new world.
Thx for your attention.

People have asked for this before, and CCP have always been very clear that there will only be one server.

oh.... realy? i don't search sorry. But i think if make good advertising many pls join to the project. Its only good marketing course
By my calculations (by dialogue and reading of set of forums) addition can be about 10000 new players, I think, that there will be some division between two servers and online will be approximately on 20 thousand players on everyone.

The only way this could work would be if the "second" server was for a significantly different game.

EVE has always been one server, I believe that it should continue to be only one server. And older players are never so powerful that newer players can't band together and beat them. Hell, look at Goonswarm. ------------ Whiners - Unite! Tarminic - 26 Million SP in Forum Warfare. |

I haven't started all that long ago, and right now I'm enjoying myself immensely and don't feel 'eternally outclassed' by other players. GoonSwarm indeed is a good example on how new players can triumph old. Solo PVP is still a good possibility in EVE, it just takes some time to train up for.

So you're complaining that you can't win a 1 on 1 fight against older characters? That seems pretty reasonable to me. Sorry, but EVE is by it's nature not a solo game. If you invade someone's space, whether they're n00bs or 4-year-old players, they're going to take you out. That's the PvP equivalent of asking that 10/10 complexes be soloable. ------------ Whiners - Unite! Tarminic - 26 Million SP in Forum Warfare. |

One of the great features of eve is that everyone plays on the same server, to split the server would spoil the game.
You can't expect to join the game and within just a few days be able to kill a 3 or 4 year old veteran, in what game for instance can a lvl-1 char beat a lvl-60 char in a 1v1 ?..
However what you can do is join a good corp, and learn from older players that can advise on how to train your skills more efficiently, theres a hell of a differance between a new player that just sits in an npc corp and one that gets good training and advice in a corporation.

If you want to have an agreed "duel" then you can just take from someone else's jettison canister at an agreed location. What you seem to be suggesting is that there should be an new server just so you can PvP without having to worry about fighting more than one person at once. This goes against an important principle of EVE since a group of less-powerful players can defeat a more powerful one. It seems that you object because your faction-fitted Machariel can't win every fight it comes to. ------------ Whiners - Unite! Tarminic - 26 Million SP in Forum Warfare. |

There is place for solo, but why try it solo, if you can gank that little freighter much easier with friends?

I've thought about it. On one hand, it would be interesting to see how EVE might evolve. The catch is, all the major power players would likely invade the second server to 'reclaim' their territory. ____________________________________ Caldari by birth, Minmatar by citizenship.

Relax, be less aggressive. Solo kills I mean 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2 4 vs 4 about equal on skills opponents.. Instead of kill npc on offline game.

They don't have to be real life friends - that why people form organizations like corporations and alliances. Edited by: CCP Prism X on 21/08/2007 17:14:30 Terribly sorry qBot but this is pretty much one of our 'no-compromise' policies. EvE will always be a single shard game as it is what sets us apart from our competition and provides a majority of the games appeal to our player base. I humbly suggest you take the advice given here to heart as most of it is good stuff.
Also, this breathalyzer stuff and the Judge/Jury comments are a part of those players signatures and have no bearing on what you are asking about.
P.S. This exclamation mark of mine is starting to really tick me off.. heads will roll!

You'll probably want to start at the recruitment channel - there are always good corporations looking for people. There's also a corporation recruitment forum here, I'd try that. Good luck! ------------ Whiners - Unite! Tarminic - 26 Million SP in Forum Warfare. |
