Whatever the reason for taking Hostages they can only be effective if people acctualy know you have them and why. Those people were not hostages, they were victims. For while it is likely that our 'protagonist' could have spent time rounding up 30 Amarrians over a period for this gruesome display, rounding up a further 5000 onto his ship would require logistics well beyond the capabilities of one so psychotic, let alone the time involved. People, Amarrian or otherwise, are not livestock or fruit that one can just buy at the market, unless he was killing slaves, in which case he wouldent be killing Amarrians. ~~~ Common sense will not accomplish great things.
