First Issue: Sheer volume after complex reactions. I'll show an example to illustrate my problem here. Example will use a fullerides reaction.
Hourly: 200m3 Pl. Technite + 200m3 Carbon Polymers = (6000 units * 0.15m3) = 900 m3 Monthly (30 days): 648,000 m3 Fullerides
That almost a full freighter load a month. Here comes the problem. What if I'm producing this in 0.0 space? Using a beefy carrier (45,000m3) I would need to take ~14.4 carrier trips a month to take it to empire. Transporting by freighter means 30+ jumps through hostile space. Also, this problem multiplies quickly as more reactions are considered. Questions to be answered: Has anybody found a solution to this problem besides the two mentioned? Would a POS setup in 0.3 space for the Complex Reactions be beneficial?
Second issue: A question about reactor setups. Is it possible to feed the content of a silo into two different reactors? So... two silos feeding two reactors. This is just a simple yes/no question I suppose.
--- WARNING: Personal Opinions! Don't flame me please 8^/ --- I'd like it if the total volume from the start to the end of the reactions were equal. 200*2 = 400. Fullerides volume would be 0.066-. Then over a month it would be 288,000m3. Quite a difference. That is ~6.4 carrier trips a month or about 1/3 of a freighter. I'd also like it if reactors could be anchored in high sec POS's. But I'm just dreaming here... -----------------------------------------------------------
Thanks in advance for the responses! And if there are already threads about these things, please link them. I couldn't find them!

To be completely honest with you I do agree that size of moon minerals needs to be decreased to some significant degree. It will make it easier as far as the time consumption goes, especially with the new increased POS bays, which means POS can be left alone for longer periods of time. More stuff to cram into those pesky carriers, more stuff to cram into silos. Or, perhaps, increase the Silo/Reactor capacity. But anything small like that will be nice.
Also, and here comes the indecent proposal: allow reaction arrays to function in .4-.7, I know, most of you guys would say what a crazy idea, and it will ruin EVE, it will ruin 0.0, etc, but, if we allow reactions to take place in .4-.7 that opens up a possibility for corps to haul the stuff and produce the materials in safer areas, and will mean more T2 components on the market, and more T2 available, at even lower prices, etc, etc, etc. I know what I am proposing in this paragraph will not seat well with allot of people, but I figured what the hell.

It's easier than it has ever fracking been. We have jump bridges, freighters that can access corp hangars, 13LY carriers, 80k m3 dreads, rorquals, JUMP BRIDGES, cheap Cargo expander II's, transport ships, 53.5k m3 t1 HAULERS...
Stop whining. Now.

That's nice Vishnej. Now could I perhaps get an answer to my question instead of a fire to roast marshmallows on? Sticks and a lighter are much easier to get than answers.

Edited by: Vishnej on 29/08/2007 05:31:43 I forgot - in rev 2, you got faction towers (which have a fuel bonus), and in rev 2.2, you got the fuel bay increase AND strontium separated.
As for an answer to your question - there has to be a reason for your alliance to turn those 30 hostile jumps into 30 friendly jumps. Or you could try operating self-sufficiently. Or you could set up jump bridges. The idea being you have to do something in the game other than operate an isk printing factory. If you can't manage the relatively easy logistics, then don't worry about running POS.
