You tried to enter Jita without checking the map to see how many people were there didn't you? So did I.
Jita gets bad at 800 people, there were more than 1100 people there last night. I jumped in, and never loaded. Signing out and trying to sign in again didn't work. I gave up after a few hours and signed back on this morning to get myself out of there.

You could try a stuck petition. Worked for me. Good to know now what signs to look for to see if Jita is safe to jump into though.
BTW, it's labour day today in the USA, meaning they are all free to play the game. That might explain the peak population.

I cant enter jita..>.< been sitting on the login screen for soon a hour, relogging and trying again....but no..nothing happens...

Same here... on the one hand I wish EVE continues to grow and get as many people playing it as possible but, on the other, seeing this makes me afraid CCP's infrastructure is not ready to host even the current community :(

If i recall correctly, CCP is considering taking measure to relieve the jita trade blobbing issue but it will take some time to sort the issue.

manage to log in now...after 1 hours of trying to log in....set des for closes gate and jumped trough after 10-20 attempts.
phuu...Im out...local was 450 and rising as ppl was able to log in.....dead for the exit gates while u can boyz....:S
