Part of the minutes mention the incursions should eb more than DPS=win when contesting.
How about a loto, You do 70% of the dmg you have a 70% chance to "win" the site.
So all fleet types are still encouraged to contest but a shinny fleet will not always win.
Need more-adecent content a casual player can access in a 1-2h play period that is actually fun and contributes to long term personal and corp goals. This applies to PvE and PvP. |

What?
Frankly, contesting incursion sites is ******** anyway. How about this for a counter proposal: If no fleet does more than 70% of the total damage on it's own, no reward is given at all. |

It's hard to think of anything other than DPS the competition could be based on, although something that allowed a competing group to win after joining at a later stage would be nice. Like winning based on percentage of DPS on the final rat, which could lead to sniping ninja incursion runners.
Would certainly shake up BTL a bit, I imagine rage concerning stealing sites in this way would emerge rather quickly. Although it would be difficult to balance between armor and shield fleets. Still, I think CCP have suggested they already have incursion changed forthcoming in the next patch didn't they?
Should be interesting to see what they are, I think any discussion on changes to competition mechanics would best be left until we know if the changes are major/minor in terms of the way sites work. |

I don't have a better alternative, but Eve needs fewer chance-based mechanics, not more. Chance can be gamed and cause lots of butthurt.
