I downloaded the FarCry_Setup.zip file from both Fileplanet AND another mirror from gamershell.
I open it up and I see "FarCry Install" folder. I open that up and see the following:
FarCry Install (folder)
data1.cab
data2.cap
data1.hdr
Message I receive when I try to extract it:
C:\Documents and Settings\Buxaroo\Desktop\FarCry_Setup.zip: Either multipart or corrupt ZIP archive
OK, can someone enlighten me on how the **** do you install this? I went to Ubisoft and registered just like the subhumans at fileplanet said....but now what? I don't see any "extractor" or "installer" that you need to run to get this thing installed. I find it hard to believe that I downloaded 2 corrupt files (I refuse to keep downloading 3 gigs at a time). If so, this is the reason why I despise Fileplanet and all their "download center" type buddies.
Sorry for sounding ****y, I just hate wasting my time on things that should be easy to do 
ps, I use WinRAR, not Winzip crap.

did you use a download manager?
if you did, then it's their problem somehow.

Nah, just downloaded through Firtefox, nothing else. Didn't use Flashget either.

BTW, I posted in Ubisoft's forums and some guy said:
"Your download is corrupt.
There should be a setup .exe in there and apparantly isn't.
Redownload it and see what happens."
Man, I DESPISE Fileplanet extremely and I consider them a worthless service. Of all the "corrupted" files I have downloaded, 90% have come from them. Well, scratch that, not gonna waste more bandwidth on their subhuman performance. I don't have a downloaded limit but I feel sorry for those people who do who waste time on **** like this.

Subhuman is correct, but I haven't had any problems downloading (a large quantity of) files. I use the official FP downloader crappy program though. Could give that a go instead of doing through FF.

I downloaded mine from Gamershell, much faster than Fileplanet and it works.
The mc'D's ad sucks, shows how completely out of touch they are with gamers. Pah!, they can't even make a chocolate shake properly, nubs
