Hello, im currently running lvl 2 caldari missions on a alt. During a storyline yesterday i got a curior mission to a 0.4 Now that kinda takes away the pleasure of pve when i have to go where i can be legally shot robbed and podded. He got some nice +5 implants wich is one of the good reasons i dont want him to go to 0.4, Only ship i had around was a caracal navy issue. I figured id buy a regular caracal and do it in that, so i did. And it all went well.
But here is my question, why should a high sec mission runner get forced to low sec to get a tiny tiny 0.3 faction standings increase? Shouldnt and cant ccp keep missions created in high sec to high sec? and let those who wanna run missions in low sec run on a low sec agent? Not a whine since i can afford a new +5 set but i still think its kinda weird that ccp allows factors like players be able to mess up a storyline.

You're not forced to. You can decline the mission.
CONCORD provide consequences, not safety; only you can do that. |

That sir kinda takes away a couple of hours of my work. And since it is one of my old miners im already loosing 70 mil a day not using him. And the only reason im running mission is for faction standings. Bit silly if you ask me. But technicly you are right but if that was the best reply you could come up with you shouldha kept it to yourself, i knew that already.

In 0.4 Concord won't come if you are attacked but there are sentry guns at gates and near stations. So you can be attacked anyway but only by pirates with low sec status.
I would say they won't attack someone carrying 200 homeless, because it's not interesting money wise or a pvp challenge but of course they do just because they can. However the risk is not very big.
If you are that nervous about going there you can still contract your alt to the courier for you or buy the stuff on market.

If you pick your systems well you can often find places where there just aren't any lowsec systems nearby and run missions out of them. ----- I'll be in my pod |

Maybe they do it to create a bit of excitment to keep the PVE crowd(I do missions) on there toes or try to intoduce them to low sec even if its done in a marginal way. If the player doesn't want to take the risk they can always refuse to do it and take the standing hit. It also provides potential targets for low sec pirates.

It all depends on where the agent is. If he is close to some low sec systems, there is a good chance you will be sent there from time to time.
Find an agent further inside empire space, that will solve the problem. The downside is fewer isk, lp and perhaps faction gain.
If you run in 0.5, you get more isk, lp and perhaps faction gain, but with the risk of getting mission in low sec. A good example of risk vs reward .

HEck, back in the day i got a mission to deliver items to 0.0. And that was on one of the first missions i did, couldn't have been more then level 1.
In my mind, those are what make missions fun, player scares.
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |
