Half the time I log into to change a skill its usually to change it from lvl 2 or 3 or 3 or 4 or 5. Sometimes someone just has time to just change a skill that day and not enough time to play. Why not just let the skill go onto the next level? That is an excellent idea. Would even cut down lag from epople just logging on to change skills.

Life shouldn't revolve around Eve, and when it does, it shouldn't be effected by server failures that are so regular. Drunken developers (just going on what I saw of Oveur during the finals), running inadequate hardware, shouldn't impair the most basic aspect of the game.
Patch day; plan ahead, blah, blah... Simple argument for simple minds.
Why should I have to? Just because basement dwellers set their alarm clock to skills and patches, it doesn't mean the rest of the world should.
Or, how about a compromise: The allowance for skills to be changed from the website, only in the event that the server is down? That seems fair across the entire player-base. -- It's a pleasure to burn. |

Either CCP makes the server more stable (and thus less painful for those who, even when setting long skills, dont suffer), or allocate for a 1-skill queue, deactivated when the account goes inactive.
Either sounds reasonable to me, so why doesnt CCP do either?

Edited by: Eulalinda on 11/09/2007 23:30:06 I'm all for 1-skill queues too.
Originally by: Nicho Void This is unbelievable. Just change your ******* skills. If you lose 4-5 hours, hell even a DAY ::gasp!:: of train time, man up and deal with it. In the grand scope of things, it's not going to ******* matter.
Some people don't share your opinion. "Man up and deal with it."
There are 190,000 paying customers in Eve. Game time costs $11-15/month. So CCP gets $2.1-2.8 million/month, or $25-34 million/year from us. Server upgrades? |
