CCP it would mean a lot to the community if you would alow dark elf the top spot. We dont care how you do it. Write a chronical to justify it, hell if you dont want the hassle ill do it. But either way the comunity has already donated 4 bill and im sure there would be more to come if it would all be visible somewhere.

CCP did actually put an In Character tribute to DE in the news. It can be seen in the News feed here.
It was published by the Interstellar correspondant team after I released two sort pieces of In Character writing to reflect DarkElf's disspearence from activity in Eve :
Episode XIII : A Loss So Great
Episode XIV : Remembrance
Having DarkElf effectively included in Eve-Online's prime fiction is something we can't thank CCP enough and are very grateful for.

i had to watch that twice, not because i didn't get the general idea of what was going on but because it was beautiful, a work of art. a fitting tribute.
i never spoke to Darkelf but i recall 1 encounter in jan which ended in what i'd call a draw. (i was a lot faster than him thankfully)

I first spoke to him when i rumbled his alt in CP corp chat, and he was so gracious about it; indeed he was always extremely polite and helpful whenever i spoke with him.
Rest in peace DE, you will be sorely missed by this community.

I don't know if anybody suggested this yet but I have an idea how you can immortalize DarkElf.
Throughout history, elite military units have adopted the names of extraordinary individuals and heroes. Create an elite unit within VETO called the "DarkElf Squadron" or something to that effect which would be comprised of only the best and most respected members of your corporation. Just as some members of the community aspire to be part of Veto, members of Veto would aspire to be a part of this elite unit. Continue DE's legacy, honor his name, and spread fear all in one. I'm sure he would be proud and honored to be the namesake of the most feared bunch of carebear killers in EvE.

I faced Darkelf in a 1v1 once, the whole or a good part of veto in local with SA watching over
He beat me so hard i respect him.
The loss of a fine new eden pilot can never be put into words, but we as a whole, grieving, this man was one of the finest pilots i have known
He will be missed, you do him proud,
The video was amazing, heartfelt and true, he will be missed

It's not a secret. Not like the circumstances of his passing make him less of a man, less of a friend, less deserving of respect. He died of sudden acute heart failure. It was just one of those things that strike randomly at even the healthiest of people.

R.I.P DE legend and a legacy to the many pirates in game and his friends. We live life to the full and enjoy as much as we can. Tribute is amazing great send off to a well respected man. If he was to see the support right here he would ask for the fuss to stop(i hear theres no internet in heaven  ) however there is eve i have been told on a LAN scale in heaven.
We will come together again DE until then hold tight i could be coming soon :)

Just came across this and am in disbelief 
I could tell he was a good person by the helpful nature in which he guided players in the ship setups forum. He recommended good setups, and was not afraid to tell people when their setups were trash. Then he would offer a much better setup, one which he actually had experience with. A rare find indeed, a good person no doubt.
Hopefully you are in a much better place now DE, we will miss you greatly.
You made EvE a better place.
