Originally by: Ambo I've arranged security in the form of 2 bil worth of shares from a more well known IPO that are held by Ricdic in EBANK.
You will need to clarify this sentence. Are you saying that EBANK is holding 2 billion as fraud security for the Outcast IPO or; are you saying that you own 2 billion worth of share in another company that is connected to EBANK or; any other possible combination. The sentence is very ambiguous and unclear. Please clarify.

Good point.
To clarify, I have given EBANK 2 bil worth of shares I held in another company. I have asked Ricdic to confirm this as soon as he is able.

Then I need to point out that your isk valuation of the security is grossly misstated. You have given EBANK (x) number of shares in a, as of yet unspecified, corporation that might not be worth more than one round of small carbonized lead. Each if you are lucky. So what you need do is specify which corporation and have Ricdic, of EBANK, confirm that he has "x" number of shares. Don't state what the value is because those shares might not mean squat next month depending on the management of the corporation. In essence, EBANK does not hold any security since the actual 2 billion (that you claim) is in a 3rd party's hands, not EBANK's. Just to make sure the situation is clear to those who didn't catch it.

Well if that's the way you see it then ok. I thought that Ricdic's reputation around here would be sufficient for his word about the worth of the shares being sufficient. That's why I've asked him to confirm here.
As far as I've concerned, what I've said is 100% accurate, i.e. Quote: I've arranged security in the form of 2 bil worth of shares from a more well known IPO that are held by Ricdic in EBANK

And that's an non-answer answer while evading the question. Yes, what you said is 100% accurate as you see it. Barring knowledge of which company the shares are from it is an unverifiable valuation that you are offering to the public as security. Furthermore, you can not make my questions some sort of insult on my part to Ricdic. If I want to know what Ricdic thinks I will ask him myself. Via my ebank e-mail account, ebank forum account, or even on MSN where we talk every other day at the least. You answer the questions. It is your ipo, it is your competency, it is the nature of your character that is in question. Simply put, answer the question. What corporation is those shares in?

The answer is 2,000 shares in PSRS.
Though how this makes any difference to you whatsoever, I have no idea. It's EBANK that is providing the security. I cannot see that what the security is based upon has any releveance given that EBANK are happy to accept it and state that it will cover 50% of the 4 bil.
Perhaps I've misunderstood somthing somwhere along the line and apologies if I have but it seems to me that it does not matter to you if the security is provided as cash, shares, items or anything else as long as those administering it are satisfied.

Nyphur is good people. Knowing that that those are the shares gives your security more credibility on it's own merit. The fact that a trust worthy 3rd party, EBANK, is holding them also makes this even more worthwhile. Two points mate: It matters to me if you want my money. That is the number 1 thing you have to realize. Investors will ask questions and will want clear answers. The clearer the better.. for you and them. Secondly, just because I'm a director in EBANK doesn't mean I'm a rubberstamp either. For this to properly succeed, for all involved, is for there to be confidence in this venture. I will ask the honest questions that any intelligent investor is going to be concerned about. And that is why it matters to me and all the other people reading this thread. Especially those with the money you want to borrow.

To me it was a fairly straightforward question, but it took multiple posts to pull the name of the corp you had invested in out of you. Yes, E-Bank had taken the shares as collateral and were thus willing to pay out in cash 2 billion to investors if it turned out to be a scam. But there are other reasons to want to know the name of the stock for investors. One is to see what kind of investment decisions you've made. Another to try to understand why you're issuing an IPO when you have at least 2 billion worth of stock. Why not just sell the stock and do your thing. I know you've already answered this in the other thread by stating something along the lines of, "for fun". But this is just a really odd situation to me.
I find it hard to invest in someone who refuses to sell his own stocks to raise money and instead wants other people to give him their money... for which he will return all their money + profits at the end of a month. Especially in such an intensive field as named module trading that will take so much work on your part. That's a lot of work for very little profit on your part... for "fun". Plus, it makes less money for those corp mates/friends of yours who have invested previously. If you really wanted to help them out you could have easily have done this without getting another penny. You'd have over a billion ISK and could, based on your claimed past growth, turn that into many billions for them and yourself.
Limiting yourself to 200 mil per person makes you seem like less of a scam... but it could just pass the risk onto more people. I personally am quite scared of someone who says they are giving away 100% profits and find that fun.
Greed is good... someone that isn't greedy is acting against human nature and I just don't buy it.

This section of the forum becomes more and more like Dragons Den every day.
You've been taking heavy fire from the high-rolling regulars in here Ambo and in my opinion you have so far handled yourself well and responded mostly to your credit. Whilst I share some of the concerns raised here, I am also capable of remembering that Eve is a game, and sometimes people just want to do something because it is fun or presents a new challenge. Of course, the problem here is that most players do these things with their own money, but you want to do it with someone elses.
Nonetheless, I have a client who specialises in investing in high risk ventures and on my clients behalf, as long as Ricdic confirms the value of the shares you have offered as security, I will start you off with an order for 200 shares, with a reserve request for an "option" to buy up to a further 800 shares should they still be available as at 1600 hrs on 24/09/07 (as per your IPO notes).
Whilst I'm pretty confident I could turn 1-bil into 2-bil within a month, I know I'd struggle to turn 4-bil into 8-bil within the same period. I therefore wish you the very best of luck and look forward to seeing your progress.
I'll send the isk as soon as Ricdic confirms the status of the shares he holds for you.

Already done champ. Just remember, I only hold shares to 50% of the value of this operation. In the event of a loss, only 50% will be repayed to shareholders resulting in a 50% net loss.
Not trying to dissuade you, just making sure you understand the level of security in play

Just to confirm, I have had two separate requests to hold an extra 800 shares each (beyond the initial 200). There are already less than 1,600 shares left so whatever is remaining at 1600 tomorrow will be divided equally between these two investors.
If anyone else wishes to stake a claim on any left-overs then please eve-mail me before that time tomorrow. Thanks.
