Yesterday I accidently dragged part of my overview over another part and now its bugged, everytime I go to open it, a little bar shows and thats it, I cnt actually see my full overview section to see anything.
This has happened before so I thought, 'Oh no biggy, Ill delete my settings folder and itll be ok...' Then I log back in and no change.
I then get a reply back from a Gm. And I seem to have no settings folder or cache folder at all ...
Can any1 help at all ? Much appreciated.
Ps. I have petiationed, but I was hoping some1 would help :)
Thanx Smith9001

Edited by: Freelancemen on 26/09/2007 11:22:33 Edited by: Freelancemen on 26/09/2007 11:21:28 Yup, know that problem and had it twice. If you see it just ctrl-q and settings won't be saved (at least it seems that way). If you would log out the official way you're stuck with a corrupted overview and you indeed need to clean your settings dir (or in fact only the file user_xxxxxx.dat). The stupid thing about this when CCP changed the folder from the gaming dir to a windows dir they never bothered to whipe the old settings dir so most ppl still think that's the dir where eve gets it settings from.
To get to the real dir go to: c:\documents and settings\yyyyyy(windows account name)\local settings\application data\CCP\EVE\settings and delete the user_xxxxxx.dat there. If you only delete this file you'll only loose the overview settings and basic eve settings but keep all peoples and places folders and few other settings.
Hope it works
ps. this is also the place where the real cache dir is.
