I am a n00b to missions. I found a LVL 1 Agent with Republic Fleet. He has a quality of -18. He was the closest, so I took him. After about 20 missions, my personal standing with the Agent is .99. I figured I would be offered a LVL 2 Agent soon, so I started looking through the list of Corp Agents. I found a LVL 2 I wanted with a quality of 17. She required a Corp, Personal, or Faction Standing of 1.15. So I look to see what my Corp standing is towards Republic Fleet after 20 missions - .03!!! At this rate, I will have to to do 768 missions to get that level 2 agent, and she had one of the lowest standings requirements I saw. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated.

There are no referrals in the new agent system, so you will not get an offer. Under Support -> Find Answers , you can find a rundown of how the agentsystem works. --------------------------------------------- When you have to kill a man, it takes nothing to be polite |

If you complete all the tutorial missions you should be given a standing bonus of 2.00 to your faction rating.
Doing missions for an agent will slowly increase your standings towards that agent and thier corp. At random intervals you will be given "important" missions (they are listed as important in the Journal). These important missions will increase your Faction and Corporation standings (I think the increase is greater).
If you refuse a mission, or fail a mission, you will lose standings ratings.
Skills: The Connections skill is worth purchasing and training if you wish to do agent missions. It gives a 4% bonus to your standings per level. Train this, and you should soon be talking to a level 2 agent.
And remember lower quality agents have lower standing requirements. You may be able to start lower on the level 2 ladder and work your way up.

Is it possible to go take up the tutorial missions, again? I never finished them, and a standing increase like that i any corp would be nice :)

I did them a month after I'd started EVE, worked fine. My m8 did them 4 months in, also np... But both situations were before castor so that *might* have changed, but I doubt it.

Even if you did finish them before, it won't matter.
Note, the tutorial missions will assign you a faction standing of 2.0. If it's higher already, then they won't do anything.
It's worked for myself, and alt, and 3-4 corp members, so it should work for you too -- TomB: End the speed-race. 1 propulsion mod allowed, make turrets affect ship attributes like +speed/+ab speed +agil for progressivly smaller/lighter turrets, -speed/-ab speed -agil for long-range. |
