Edited by: Spacy Tracy on 04/10/2007 06:08:37 Just popped into my head, and I figured I'd write it down before going to bed for the night.
What if there were some sort of learning bonus you could get based on the number of level 5 skills you have? Like maybe 1%/2% bonus to training time for every 5/10/15/whatever skills at level 5. Or maybe an extra point of stats you could allocate once for every 5/10/15/whatever skills at level 5.
It might encourage specialization a bit more, and would be a nice "passive" reward for old timers who are grinding out horribly long skill plans.
Discuss.

To me, specialization is already there for whoever wishes to take the time to do it. The way you have stated your idea only seems like you want to find some way to cut down training time beyond what resources are already in place.
My position on your idea is that it is not appropriate. |

No.
I don't see any need to give 'extra' SP rewards to old timers, either, they've already got the rewards SP-wise.
Plus, it'd be misleading to new people - it's better for their performance at any given point of time to diversify at the beggining, until they figure out what they really need maxed out first.
