Edited by: Kendar Zek on 05/10/2007 02:45:59 It is my esteemed pleasure to announce the inception of a new racing team, per the amended rules that take effect at the beginning of the ISGC Racing League's fourth season. The new ruleset will allow for a more robust collaboration from a diverse group of pilots hailing from disparate corporations, and opens up tactics that have previously only been available to a single team due to their strength of numbers.
Venture Racing Team is seeking pilots of all backgrounds and skillsets for competition in all race classes supported by the ISGC Racing League, including exhibition matches. Our goal is to promote the love of the sport and set the standard for professional courtesy and good sportsmanship. Believing that integrity is more valuable than any trophy, we shall never sacrifice the team's values for monetary gain. Of course, that is not to say that we don't aspire to win a few trophies in the process, but Venture Racing Team shall always value fun over fortune.
As the team owner, I have the privilege of announcing the captain of Venture Racing Team. He has been a shining star throughout the current ISGC racing season, in respect to both his racing prowess and outstanding sportsmanship. It is an honor that Takashi Kurosawa has agreed to lead the team for the fourth season of the ISGC Racing League. I welcome him as a friend, and wish him all success in securing the title for the interceptor class as the last race of the current season approaches.
If any pilot would like to fly with Venture Racing Team, we welcome a statement of interest here, and look forward to contacting you. For complete details on the operation of Venture Racing Team, please review our team charter.
For those enthusiasts who may wish to sponsor the team, we accept contributions to our operating fund and will gladly announce your generosity in our public communications. Don't hesitate to contact me regarding any financial matters.
Good luck to our future teammates and opponents in the upcoming season!

Let me start by saying that the feeling is mutual; it will be a great honour for me to lead this team in it's efforts in the 4th season of the League and I will do my very best to do so.
I first started racing in the League when season two was drawing to a close, and was immediately drawn to it. In the first race I made countless mistakes and finished long after the podium finishes. Yet, despite this, I was immediately hooked and have been a regular at (and on) the track ever since. My hope is that I will be able to pass on some of the experience that I've gained on the track this last season to my team mates.
As Kendar said, this team is about having fun on the track. If you wish to race to have fun and demonstrate your skills through swift can approaches and fast warps, do consider joining Venture Racing Team!

To give the aid you imply, do you have a healthy profit margin? If so, I'd be interested to know more!

The Society was founded as an organization for charitable individuals to be free of the pressures of corporate life, in order to pursue their philanthropic interests. The Society itself maintains minimal operating funds to pay for our office space.
With that aside, I would ask that we please stick to the topic at hand, which is Venture Racing Team. If you have an interest in supporting the team financially, or if you would like to fly with us during the fourth season of the ISGC Racing League, I'm happy to entertain such notions.
Please direct all other inquiries about the team to our captain, Takashi Kurosawa.

Greetings and good fortune, racers.
I heard you were still scouting for new recruits. Kendar Zek mentioned something about it the other day, and asked that I drop a line. I have to admit, my interest is definitely piqued. I'd welcome the chance to race with you, provided you're still accepting fresh applicants.

...and, of course, you're always welcome to race with us. I assume you're qualified to pilot something a bit faster than your freighter, my dear lady.

Please keep an eye out for continued recruiting offers throughout the season! We are constantly expanding the team, and we welcome a wide variety of pilots, veterans and rookies alike, to share the excitement of racing with us.
Sponsorship opportunities abound, as well, and we are working on a number of creative projects to improve the value of sponsoring VRT to prospective investors. I welcome individuals, corporations, and alliances to contact me for details on adding their mark to the rich tapestry of racing.

I can't say I've ever done much in the way of racing. But I'm interested, and I'm willing to give it a shot. I have military training in the use of frigates, afterburners, and microwarpdrives, along with a variety of weapons which I hope this competition doesn't require. I've been mining since I was 11, and I run a small corp in the Kador region. The only race I've ever been in was a 10 jump race between an Iteron and a Bestower, and I lost. If all that doesn't disqualify me, than I'd like you to consider me for the team. I'd love to give this a try.
Sincerely, Jasen Nightwing CEO, Nightwing Mining CO |
