I blow up a guy probing in his Imicus. He pays me 3m ransom for ship wreck loot and pod. I take it. I warp away. 10 minutes later, I see him at the same spot in his vexor. Should I blow him up? Or is that dishonorable (dishonoring ransom)?

Blow his ass up, he paid for that one time, if he wants to still be there he gotta pay again

Not dishonorable
Paying ransom means that you take your scram off...nothing more than that
If you catch him again..he has to pay twice

The first time he was paying for the stuff in the wreck and the pod... The second time he's paying for the vexor. It's two separate transactions. He obviously enjoys doing business...

Ransom just means you're letting them go once.

Pretty much the same, although I usually give them until my aggro timer wears off.

Having been a ransomee numerous times ( ), after a ransom I *always* disappear from whatever I was doing till my captors leave. As far as I'm concerned, I paid for my escape, not the privelidge of hanging round and not being popped again.

Yeah, you only ransomed him for the pod and wreck. Of course, you can always offer him a safe-conduct pass (pay us like 100M and/or weekly sums, and we set you to light blue and let you operate in our territory).

Its not dishonoring for scum like pirates :) , but think economically  - u mess up the ransom market.
If pirates start to ignore payed ransoms, some day nobody pays more (no use) - and thats a bad idea.

lol. and i also agree with that- theyre 2 seperate engagements- if anything you increase the ransom value second time round.

Maybe he thought "ship wreck loot" meant he would have free passage to come back and loot his ship wreck (in whatever ship). He may well consider you dishonorable. It would depend on how things were actually worded.
