Quick! I can't think of an argument relevant so spew some old crap that someone else from my alliance spewed before me and that someone else spewed before them! Ahhh! Our forums smack is running out! To the DBP quotes! To the BoB pet quotes! To the enemy forum pasting quotes!

There are poses on Sunday and poses all day Monday we need to save. This is of utmost importance. Bring shuttles, newb ships, whatever you can get your hands on! Beat um or lag them to hell!
Epic..a goon post about making sure to lag the opposition to hell. Classic stuff.
Every single major alliance in the game has access to the goonswarm forums. Heck, everyone I know in eve has access to the goonswarm forums & some of them don't care about the politics of the game.
So when you post internal communications from there & make obvious changes (aka Beat um or lag them to hell) it makes you look really desperate.

Actually if you check the boards you will see that Rise undocked this morning and killed a large bubble, only to lose a bunch of ships including 2 carriers (of which they tried to self destruct both but only succeeded with 1). Oh and they lost 2 posses last night and many more today.

Yes, quite right. The direction combat has been moving in the last year is a direction we don't like. It's becoming more and more important that you rack up 50+ ships to be able to do anything meaningful, preferably with 10 or more capital ships and astro-glide to get them into the solar system (what a suitable name for the space universe btw).
This isn't only hard on your real-life schedule (Well, I wouldn't know, I don't have one any more) but it's also affecting your gameplay. Who wan's to wait for 3 hours while a fleet is assembled?
Originally by: Oveur Sure, big fleet encounters are still in there, but there should be a more natural escalation towards the fleet encounter, it shouldn't be the only option. A large fleet encounter should also span multiple solar systems, have tactical and strategic goals, it should be worth something to flank your opponents constellation, right? Right.
Food for thought. I wonder how manipulation of pos timers, so-called 'kiting' (by everyone it seems) when you have a blob in system relates to this? Or 100+ capital ship blobs.. I would like nothing better than for more tactical situations to be available, but the _game mechanics as they stand do not allow this_. For anyone..
I realise we are only small pigeons ****ing on the mighty bonnet of bob's lada, but still, I think we could cope with it.

QFT. They had a chance to change something, and they introduced layered sov and made systems as huge fortresses. All the lag that is present now in game is not the fault of the defender or the attacker, it is the fault of CCP for moving the game in this direction, i suspect with the intent to make the conflict in the south grow longer, because after this conflict is over it is pretty obvious that they are going to lose some subscriptions - ppl burned out and generally bored and ****** off. Fracking good job CCP.
I'm not neutral in RAGOON vs BOB, I just dislike both sides. :) |

Of course there was lag all around. The Alliance got lucky, just as RSF has done in other situations. No real skill involved.
If they try the same tactic again tomorrow, who knows, maybe the winds will blow the other way, and our support will rip up their caps.
Lag is a capricious thing. Skillpoints and T2 fleets are irrelevent in such an environment.

Its all about strategy, you didn't want the 2 systems BoB took from you, as BoB must not care about feyth. Seems everyone wants FAT and you seem to be losing that battle over time granted but your still losing.
BoB has not lost one station since they attacked ASCN as in there original stations. You guys are all fighting for other peoples old stations still yet. You have not even come close to NOL.
firstly lets get this clear as it is most important, ACSN DOES NOT EQUAL goons/iac/aaa/tcf/etc etc. ASCN is a seperate alliance that was removed before this current war started. To say that the stations were once ASCN is lame, as I'm sure most stations were once owned by another alliance at some point (didn't fat originally belong to fix or something).
The only reason bob is attacking FAT is because it is the weakest link atm compaired to the other battles bob "could" choose to fight in. FAT is somewhat strategically located, but it is on the edge of querious which is what bob wants to protect. it doesn't care about catch, all bob wants to do is insure that we don't enter querious and then towards delve or where ever it is bob resides.
The only reason bob came to catch in the first place is becasue McFix and friends were unable to remove IAAAC from the area, we were to powerful for MC, although I think that aside from the ed- situation is was more or less even odds at that point. MC called in bob as they couldn't handle it themselves. BoB was more then happy to get away from the goons for a while and fight a "fair" fight for a change.
Also IAC has lost 1 station so far and are about to lose two more. So what? BoB has lost two (2) titans and 3 or 4 regions so far, along with the two stations that MC has lost in the north with word that soon their other stations will soon fall under siege as well.
Oh and about BoB not caring about feyth, well the residents of feyth were told by BoB that if things got hairy then BoB would help them, same for RISE. Turns out this was not the case. BoB's interests were elsewhere and the alliances that werre protected by the BoB umbrella plan were abandoned and ultimately destroyed. Even if there was no isk being sent from these "pet" alliances to BoB for space rental, there is still the trust that should have been there regarding BoB's assistance during hard times, which did not arrive.
BoB may be winning the battle but they are far from winning the war.
This current war did not start when ASCN was attacked, this is not the ASCN war.
This is Prohibition III (because I and II failed each more horribly then the last)

It's so funny read in your gang chat "I had 2 min module lag" .... especialy after ours "I can't load grid 15 min" or "I'm taking damage from nowhere"
2 min module lag on siege activation, which was at the very start of the fight.
Meanwhile, I was so lagged out it took me three tries and ten minutes to log in, another ten minutes to warp, I couldn't see anything on the field for twenty minutes, and according to the scanner on that screenshot, every single friendly capital was 0m from me.
So, yes, we were lagged as hell, too. But all else being equal in a lagged-out fight, the side bringing more capitals wins, because if everyone randomly pairs off with five people who they get to see and target, the capital can kill his five opponents. The T1 frigates and cruiser wrecks that littered the field after the engagement served nicely to reemphasize that other classes of ships cannot.
