I think you should represent them, aren't you the BOSS anyway?...
BTW, would be hilarious but could happen, some people take this game way to seriously and ya never know that table might break out in a fist fight.

Hi people. I will be the one responsible/contact for this and considering the interest, this is as good as "on".
And to answer questions. 1) This will be open for everybody, and most likely held on the biggest stage of the FanFest venue. 2) The presentation of the alliances/corps (so PIE inc. can be considered for participation along with other oldies corps) will be limited to about 5 minutes per alliance/corp, which means that you could, e.g. have three slides presenting the past, present and future about the alliance/corp. 3) Q&A with the panel, where the audience gets to ask and the panel gets to answer.
This is the rough plan and the entire event would take about 1.5 to 2 hours. I realize that the time alloted will not be nearly enough, but we can't have everything. And nothing says that you can't ask question to someone who is not on stage.
So, I would like you to go ahead and have your alliance leader/corp leader EVE-mail this character with information about who will attend on your alliance/corp behalf and then on Monday/Tuesday we will continue from there. NOTE that we will select the participants, and since the number of attendance will only be between 6 and 8, not everybody will be able to attend. The rule of thumb will however be 2-3 large alliances, 2-3 medium and 2-3 small.
Any further questions, ask away. I will be looking in here every now and then during the next few days.
And a small disclaimer: The idea is likely to evolve, so above are the rough ideas about his event so you know what you will be getting yourself into. ____________________________

Just a gentle reminder of this matter.
Just EVE mail GM Xhagen about your interest in participating. If you are not the alliance leader/corp CEO or someone authorized to speak for the alliance/corp it would be cool if you could either have the leader EVE mail me with confirmation. ____________________________

I'm confused, I was to understand that this panel would be alliances that are 0.0 in nature, and hold some type of space other than living in empire. Angels of Discord have been removed from the drone regions and are currently living in a low sec system in empire, I fail to see how this alliance would even be considered for such an important event. This includes the Northen Regions Alliance who has no sovereign space anywhere located on the eve universe map. At least some of the other alliances that do not hold space that are on this panel has had a long tenure in this game with a rich knowledge of history to be presented. Based on this thread I've seen several other larger more important alliances sending representatives and they are not on this panel? I'd like some answers as to who exactly is picking alliances that have little or no history and will basically bore everyone that is attending the power point presentation. -----------------------------------------------

While PIE may not be in an alliance at present, it has the rich history of being one of the oldest corporations in EvE history, as well as being the ex-executor corp of the Curatores Veritatis Alliance (CVA), one of the first alliances established and among the first to be officially recognized when the feature was implemented.

Cordova - go spend real life money on something again for eve. Do we need to post logs again? How much money did you and Necro spend?
Quote: We thought a good idea for EVE Fanfest 2007 would be an Alliance Leader Panel. We'd like to hear from anyone who is going to the Fanfest and holds a position in their alliance that would allow them to represent their alliance in this type of panel?
Cordova - Its for ALL ALLIANCES, READ YOU EMTARD, or have Necro go and buy you a translator so it can be read to you.

I've seen nothing, either in this thread or elsewhere, which would lead any reasonable person to conclude that the composition of this panel was ever intended to be restricted to "alliances that are 0.0 in nature" or which "hold some type of space other than living in empire." And, while the Northern Regions Alliance mentioned is relatively new, I note that Foghail has been around for over three and one-half years (and, at that, is less than six months younger than Cordova), so I would expect him to have "a rich knowledge of history to be presented."
It seems to me that this is "such an important event" precisely because it is NOT restricted to just the wealthy, well-established alliances which hold sovereignty over vast expanses of 0.0 space. Moreover, I think it's arrogant to assume that any alliance which doesn't meet that criteria couldn't possibly have something of interest to say or that it is somehow unworthy of being heard.
Besides, I don't recall seeing anyone from Rule of Three volunteering to participate. It's ironic how some people find it so easy to cast aspersions on endeavors which they, themselves, are not willing to make any contribution to.

Ah, the ever-so-typical knee-jerk response from one who evidently can't handle constructive criticism or opposing viewpoints!
1. This is my "main." Contrary to what you seem to believe, not everyone who plays this game is, or even wants to be, in a big multi-player corp or an old, established alliance. And even if this weren't my "main", who are you to try to dictate what and with whom I post?
2. Your original post, being little more than a disparaging complaint against the fact that the panel isn't what you erroneously assumed it would be, can hardly be construed as constructive, so your ability to accurately judge whether or not other postings are constructive seems a bit suspect.
3. If you feel this panel discussion is going to be boring, by all means feel free to spend your time doing something else. Just don't be so arrogant as to assume that if it isn't interesting to you, it won't be interesting to anybody; you may indeed be the center of your own universe, but that doesn't mean you're the center of everyone's.
@ A wiseman: perhaps, but just who is leandra; precisely how, when, and where did he/she ask for help; and exactly how can the egocentric negativity displayed by Cordova be helpful to anyone?
That's the last I'll have to say in regard to this discussion, barring evidence of a more open-minded attitude.

I'm going to reply here and explain the selection process and the fact that PIE. Inc. was selected.
Selection process: Those who expressed interest here were selected. Vegeta was the only one who did not respond to my EVE-mail and hence, he is not on the panel. Two alliances expressed interest of joining after the news item had been posted about who would be joining, hence I was forced to deny them. The third alliance expressed interest before the new item was posted, but as I had already gotten 7 representatives and a confirmation that they can actually speak for their alliance.
In summary, the 7 first who expressed interest were chosen.
PIE. Inc. has been around in EVE since forever, and their experience should be enlightening for all. ____________________________

Cordy dude, serious Lulz. Ok you guys had a little war; time to move on man, bitter much?
Props to Leandra she more than deserves it, she taught you alot from what I remember. No props tho eh?
Foghail is a good choice as well he's a major carebear, has played the game steady for over 3 years. I don't see an issue with either of them. He was also my former CEO and a RL friend who got me into EvE he will be an excellent choice imo.
Now just because this is posted in COAD does not mean that you need to be COAD like. This is about fanfest let those who are going enjoy it.
Have fun all. I hate you.
